Oh my goodness...i am Dj since 1994..(played on Loveparade Berlin and around the globe) We also did mixing with casset tapes back in the days, when records where expencive and hard to get... But this is absolutely amazing. No headphones and no mixer. Hats off to this guy. What a wizard..

This dude was unbelievable. Came straight out of The Soviet Union, and decided he was gonna rock the bells ON TAPE. Not even to show off. Out of what was available in Russia, because vinyl records were outlawed during The Cold War. Homie tore it up!

Someone told me that Modris said: playing this set was like bonuss after bushcrafting soviet 4pin to that time audio output cable without soldering. All was made with duct tape 5 minutes befor set.

Many years have past since I first saw this video and I still can't coprehend how good he was. Most of the techniques are hard to master with a turntable and he done with a f*cking tape recorder, when most at the time we can the f*cking thing get working at least :o

In many ways their set up had advantages. They didn't need to buy records. Just recorded what was on the radio. They just needed a good break beat and a banging sound system.

И слава Богу СССР развалилось и Латвия опять обрела независимость!Нас в Латвии в те времена репресировали и за музыку,были даже случия,когда угрожали разправой,ктото бежал из страны,если удавалось.Жуткие времена были.И меня не радует то што происходит в Росии в 21 веке.У вас демократия гаснет как свеча в дожде.....
