I miss Iloilo City where I took my scholarship and a candidate for Master in Divinity (M. Div.- Pastoral Care) under Presbyterian Theological Seminary-Seminary Education by Extension (PTS-SEE). I also miss Tanza not of Iloilo City, but Tanza in Cavite Province where I finished my grant in aid scholarship for Master of Arts in Ministry (M.A.M) under the Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary-Seminary Education by Extension (PBTS-SEE).

In this area will pass by the forthcoming ILOILO CITY boulevard that will link Oton to Dumangas. Hopefully, this "ghetto beach area" will be planned with the best development and the pre-war beach area will be reclaimed and restored for the benefit of the residents of ILOILO CITY. My mother and her family were at some point residents of this area which had a beautiful wide sandy beach area before World War II that stretched towards Villa Beach to Oton on the west, and towards the Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus and Fort San Pedro area in the east. Similar successful sandy beach shore area reclamations were done in the beach area of Barcelona, Spain. That reclaimed beach area in Barcelona was formerly filled with factories and industrial plants, but is now a source of delight for recreation by the grateful residents of Barcelona, Spain. A similar reclamation/restoration can be done in the Rizal palapala up to the Calumpang-Calaparan-Villa beach area of Iloilo City.

Nice aerial view of the fishing village. I have my relatives in Barangay Bonifacio Infront of Tanza Church. This area has the same problem as Zaraga town the poultry village, fly infestation. The food resources of Iloilo is abundant but they should have treatment facilities for the waste product. Here in Cebu chicken dungs are disinfected with chlorine solution. A blessed New Year. In Jesus Christ name. Amen.

People dont realized this is how Iloilo River looks like before the Esplanade is built. Before the squatters were relocated especially those houses that is well inside the Iloilo River bank. And Iloilo River is 2x longer than Batiano River including its tributaries. After the Iloilo River rehabilitation is completed I guess Batiano River would be next.

Salamat sa information sir alex... for me the Iloilo River esplanade is one of the greatest engineering achievements. It provide protection to the valuables business zones in the city Proper and protect also real estate along Iloilo River banks.

@DroneAerialFootage. I agree that it is one of the greatest engineering achievements because it has benefitted the entire city and provincial populace, it has revitalized interest for the downtown Inner city area and has provided the link between the Old Heritage City at Calle Real and the New Central Business District in Mandurriao, making the Old Heritage City become as vital and as vibrant with activities as the New Central Business District. The Esplanades have also revolutionized the mindset and heart-set of the residents, who, for a long time, have longed for an honest-to-goodness sports, health, and wellness facilities and open spaces with trees and greenery conducive and inspiring for a balanced mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health and wellbeing, and the extensive riverside Esplanades and biking lanes provide the perfect settings. Also because of the Esplanades, the Ilonggos have become ever more conscious and protective of the environment and its natural resources, and of the urgent need to clean , preserve, and beautify the environment. Iloilo City' is now hands-down the Cleanest and Most Beautiful City in the Philippines. And yes, because of the Esplanades, business activities and real estate developments have mushroomed to make Iloilo presently the Most Business-Friendly City in the Philippines. And as the latest cap to ILOILO's achievements, ILOILO CITY has been declared, as of October 30, 2023, as the UNESCO CREATIVE CITY FOR GASTRONOMY in recognition of ILOILO's excellent cuisine. Finally, YES, I too, believe that the Batiano River will be developed like the Iloilo River with its Esplanades, Biking Lanes, Rows of trees, flowerbeds and greenery because it is at the Batiano River where the new Sunset Boulevard will pass by going to Oton, with its own Esplanades, biking lanes, wide sidewalks, trees, flowerbeds and greenery, and it will be dredged and deepened similar to the present Iloilo River. And even the prospect of the Iloilo River and the Batiano River providing a link towards the open sea and providing facilities for transportation and tourist cruises is an inspiring possibility. In ILOILO dreams come true and become wonderful realities. Which is why ILOILO CITY Abd The METRO ILOILO-GUIMARAS area is considered the by well-travelled vloggers, expatriates, and tourists as the Most Livable City in the Philippines. In the future and even as of now, the ILOILO RIVER ESPLANADES has the makings of a facility the can be included in the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LIST AS ONE OF THE GREATEST GARDENS IN THE WORLD.
