Coming from someone that never comments on tutorials.I want to show support to your videos. Very well done. I knew nothing about fur-bearing until your series and now I cant wait to put your teaching into practice. So coming from someone who had no one to learn from thank you for your hard work posting these tutorials. Looking forward to more videos (would love to see how you make garments) keep up the good work man.

I really like watching this process. Working with fur and hides and skinning and fleshing is rather relaxing for me. I’ve been dealing with high blood pressure and anxiety lately and somehow watching your videos and listening actually calms me down

Thank you soo much for this series! You have no idea how long I've waited for a clear tutorial for tanning hides with Trappers Tanning formula.

I respect all the work you do on these hides,I'm at the step right now with mine hanging up after rinsing them then on to thinning thank you again for all the vids Ezra Border
I bought a tanned fox pelt over the internet, and it’s been so interesting to see the sheer amount of work that went into making it so lovely. I’m not using it for garments or a wall hanger, but rather to cuddle because it’s incredibly fluffy. I’ve absolutely loved it and now I get to see and appreciate all of the hard work that went into making it so cuddle-able. Thank you so much for these videos!
Love hearing the quail in the background!
Man what a series. Can't wait to see some garment making. Thanks for the info, excellent.

Well made videos, lighting, audio and all , I used Tandy Leather solution to tan 2 deer hides 20 years ago, got one fairly soft , WHEW ! a lot of work ! GOSH you must live in an area with a LOT of critters !
Fantastic series thanks for taking the time to film/edit and post these up. Very informational!

Thank you so much just sub to your channel .very interested in the tanning process. I tried once long ago with the ashes from my fir place and some other item only ended up with rawhide . I now think I’ll try it again after looking and seeing the process. You have certainly been a help for many and I’m grateful for your time and generosity
Finally gonna try to do some coyotes this season. Great instructional man, thanks for taking the time to do this bro !
Nice, made it simple and step by step. Really appreciate it, thanks.
Thans for all the info! Appreciate your work
So much to learn. Your vids CCO are very informative.
Thanks for posting these videos- very informative ....Good stuff
Great work man, thanks for showing us the whole process! I’ve learnt a lot from this series and am doing a coyote now from it!
Hoddy Toddy from Jackson, Mississippi! Thanks for taking the time to do this video series. Good info.
Great instructions, this information is very hard to come by. You did an excellent job of describing all the minor details which is required for someone starting out. Maybe you could do a video on breaking a large hide. My friend has a cow hide which was tanned but not broke and is like a sheet of plywood. I'm sure you would have some good tips for doing a hide like that.
First time I tanned a hide I was 13 and had a bear. Unfortunately I didn't know I wasn't supposed to use iodized salt. It did have dont slippage. I also used borax to. It wasn't very soft, but was a great learning experience. I'm fixing to get back to trapping and tanning. Glad you made these videos for a refresher and improvement on my end.
Good stuff my friend. I’m preparing to go through the whole process for the very first time. Trapped a coon that has been after our cat’s food. Chickens were next! So far, coon has been skinned and pelt is in the freezer awaiting my fleshing knife.. You are great at explaining the whole process. Much appreciated. Cheers 🍻
Great series, much appreciated. got a few big black beavers and a mess of skunks I'm looking to tan. thanks for the videos.

Excellent job following the directions written on the bottle 👏
I used to use the orange bottle, but I discovered it almost always yellowed my hides. I switched to TruBond 1000B and it is been much easier in my experience. The TruBond requires a LOT less breaking!
Thank you so much for this video! I'm trying to learn these skills to preserve cowhide. I'm crossing my fingers.
Great series....awesome channel you have!
Great videos on self tanning. I am a hobby trapper and am learning a lot from your videos. Keep up the great work.
Can't help but notice the coincidence that you have game birds (bobwhite quail) calling in the background and predators being tanned on video. I think the quail are singing a happy song.
Awesome man I've learned so much from you thank you

Good day man love your videos very informative very thorough. Wondering how long you suggest leaving dried hides before tanning. In particular I have bevers I did 10 days ago and would like to tan.
Following your process, I'm tanning a beaver. So far I'm in the Salt/water solution. I hope to get good results!! Thanks for making this videos
Thank you for the education, I have a nice whitetail currently stretching that I want to turn into hunting mittens (Maybe) and this series was just what I needed to get through the tanning process. Thank you for the tips and tricks, especially the wire wheel on the die grinder trick. My thoughts for the mittens was to make them with the fur inside like insulation with a liner of some sort like lamb with the wool facing the hollow deer hair so I could easily slip a gloved hand in and out along the smooth leather for a fast shot. I am thinking that this way I could also water proof the leather like my boots with some mink oil or Sno Proof.
Great work! Thank you. I would very much like to see alum and brain tanning as well as garment making.
Thanks for sharing your skills !
Awesome series of videos learn so much from you man!! What do you do when you get some of that tanning oil on the fur side during the tanning procces . Do you just leave it or can you clean it up some ? Just didn't want the edge of my hides oily. Thanks man!!
all your videos are excellent!
Nice to hear that bobwhite in the background... maybe they appreciate you taking out those nest predators!
Great job. Can't wait till see some garments being made.

Very nice good ole boy. Very nice. Thanks fer yer knowledge skills and such.
Finally a good series on youtube on how to tan hides. I found your instruction clear and easy to follow. I do believe I heard on one of your videos that you are from Illinois. If I heard correctly what part? I'm just getting into trapping this year and your video, being of a similar terrain and climate, have proved to be most valuable to my knowledge base. Thank you!

Thanks very much for the detailed videos, gonna grab some of that solution in the orange bottle, some salt and gonna get to work.
Nice work! I hoped you would use the ALUM solution, but very nice.
Great set of videos!Did you do a series on Alum tanning? I cant find it.
Excellent series of videos and all very detailed and informative. I've been trapping in Northern Ontario for 18 years. I agree fur prices are terrible and have been searching for a good video on tanning my pelts. We have the same tanning solution up here. I have one question regarding this video. Once you wash the fur in Dawn liquid soap, you mention wringing them and hanging them to partially dry before applying the tanning solution. Do you rinse the soap out of the furs before hanging them to dry or you don't have to? Thanks again, you're a successful trapper who makes us all proud.
You mention doing videos on alum tanning. I searched and can't locate it. I enjoy your videos and look forward to more
