@@thecocoacouch I was a teenager the first time I saw this movie. When my mom watched it with me for her first time, she said something along the lines of "Of course they'd make the protective mother the bad guy." Looking back now, BIG yikes.

I usually don't like to watch people who have seen the movie before because their reactions are not natural. But your enjoyment of watching "Tangled "makes me happy. You are adorable. I will continue to watch your videos. Greetings from Poland :)

The king delivered one of the most emotional scene with no lines the entire movie.

I quote that mirror scene all the time with my grandfather . Every chance I get with me and him in the mirror I say "holy cow that's one good looking fella, and look, your here to" it gets him and my grandmother laughing everytime

When I watched this as a child I didn’t see anything wrong with the way Gothel treated Rapunzel until she was literally kidnapping her. Now as an adult I see that it’s just because it was the treatment I was used to as a kid. My mom treated me very similarly so I thought it was normal

You are loved, just so you know that. You are gifted and there are things about you only you can bring to that world. Be blessed and be a blessing to others ❤
Hands down one of the best Disney films. I always get emotional when I watch that scene with the lights, and Eugene and Rapunzel realize they’re in love 🥹 It’s so beautiful.
Some details to share, when Gothel shows affections to Rapunzel she's actually referring to Rapunzel's hair & not Rapunzel herself. But in Eugene aka Flynn rider, he pushed her hair just to see her face showing his love for Rapunzel is genuine❤
I grew up on the classics and this one captured the heart of the originals very well
Mother Gothel is probably one of the best examples of gaslighting.
I find it so interesting to think about Gothel's history. They said that she's been using it for centuries. So she likely comes from an age that's much less civilized, probably very discriminatory towards women. And since she's kind of isolating herself from actually participating in society, she still has the idea that society is that way in her mind, even if she technically knows they changed. While she's definitely not a good person, and very much psychopath, her first instinct wasn't to kidnap rapunzel. She also raised rapunzel as her daughter (bad mother she is) not as an outright captive you know. I think it explains a lot why Rapunzel still in a way tried to save her at the end of the movie

Tracking someone into loving you isn't being a good person. Gothel is a manipulative narcissistic person. She did it ONLY for her convenience, she never loved Rapunzel nor she saw her as her own person. Rapunzel was just an object to keep in line.
There are very few channels on KZread where I watch nearly every video (Daily Dose of Internet, Grian, and Primitive Technology are the only ones I think). Yours is one now of them. Your reactions and thoughts/feelings are exactly like mine, except your emotions are amplified compared to mine. I have major depressive disorder, and it's really hard to feel much, if anything, for 18 years now I believe. But during the sad/emotional/beautiful scenes of these movies (especially the first video of yours I found, The Lion King, and you know which part of the movie I'm talking about)... all I had to do was look at your face and see you tearing up and speaking "my" feelings aloud to make me cry properly for once in such a long time. With life/mental health issues isolating me so much, I'm forced to seek out emotional solidarity online. I'm glad that I can find it here. Thank you for making this channel and uploading those vulnerable moments. It's quite cathartic, and it's nice to be able to cry and smile again. :) I will be sharing your YT channel's and Patreon's links wherever I can.

This made my day thank you. I'm so glad these videos are having the effect they are. Best of wishes with everything and again thank you for sharing this.
I do not believe that Pascal killed Mother Gothel. She turned to dust before she hit the ground, so the fall had no effect on her life. The only purpose for the fall, in my opinion, was to give the audience a sense of vengeance satisfied.
@lilunette9319

The intention was still there. Is not like Pascal knew what was going to happen. I vote for Pascal the Avenger!
Probably a dumb question but I've always wondered whether Rapunzel's parents named her Rapunzel or if that's what Gothel named her, and her parents just ran with it, yes, in the beginning, Eugene says that's it's the story of a girl named Rapunzel, however, it's never shown that her parents personally named her Rapunzel.
0:48 actually there is a sequel series called Rapunzel‘s tangled adventure which takes place after the movie and it goes into a lot of explanation about the sun flower and her powers and so much more it’s really good I highly recommend!

"I don't know if that's how horses work" - Let me put it this way: Maximus is the least realistic animated horse I've ever seen, and considering Spirit was pretty unrealistic, that's saying a lot. But he's hilariously adorable, plus it's a fairy tale, so I don't mind.
This was your FIRST video??? You look so comfortable and all! Love your reactions, watching one after another the whole day 🥰 Greetings from Germany
Referring 5o the comment "What an actress", my mother said to me when i was about 13 "I'm such a great actress" whenbit came to tricking my father into giving her more money and pretending he didn't pay the bills. I never trusted her since then and found out she was a narcissist when i was about 26. I haven't had contact with her for about 7 years now.
My mom will every so often point out the fact that I have a "belly" (implying that I'm getting fat) and that just makes me even more insecure than I already was.
@lilunette9319
2 ай бұрын
Point out her wrinkles and when she gets upset, tell her "Ph I thought I was giving you constructive criticism" Covert narcissists can always dish it out but can never take it. Plus, don't be insecure, everyone gets old and ugly at some point, the trick is to find a partner who is respectful.
While I was visiting my little cousins, we wrote on a floating lantern and said that it was from my hometown a couple states farther North cause we thought it'd be funny if we could trick whoever found it into thinking that it came from there. Also, the way Mother Gothel and the ruffians are with Rapunzel's hair is terrifying to me. Because of how curly my hair was as a child, random people in stores like Walmart would come up and pet my hair. These were grown adults, coming up behind me, a 4 year old child (that's the earliest I can remember it happening), and touching my hair without consent. That is the reason I hate people touching my hair and why those scenes always creep me out.
6:10 😅 U would be surprised how many toxic and abusive mothers are out there. Especially those obsessed with beauty and competition. Dance mom just comes to my mind.
You looked so serious and annoyed at Mother Gothel at 30:21 I love it
Ironically, one of Eugene's most heroic acts was stealing the princess' tiara form the castle. If he hadn't done that, and had his run in with Maximus, he might never have discovered the tower and Rapunzel might never have been found.
Gosh I can't express how much I loved your reaction!! ❤❤❤ You gave so much of your own insight and genuine thoughts that I thoroughly enjoyed watching along with you. Thank you so much!
1:44 actually have been to one when I was maybe in middle school(?) there's a nearby college that was hosting a Japanese themed festival (I think it was for cosplays, mangas, and anime yk stuff like that) and by the end of the show they release those lanterns and it was pretty until one of them got stuck in a tree (luckily the tree didn't catch on fire)
Ok so I’ve watched quite a few of your videos, and I’m just now watching the first one, and now I understand the name cocoa couch 😂, I thought it was just some catchy alliteration
I haven’t watched tangled in a while but I’m realizing now how good it is
If you loved this movie I recommend watching Tangled Before After (2017) and Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure (2017 - 2020).
Maximus is the best, he is the reason to why i´ll see it again. Also, this is a story by the Grim brothers, Disney has of course changed it so i feel like one should really read the original story and get knowledge and fascination from what original craftsmen did and how they lived. Disney has done this for a long time, and now others follows with prequels, series and such, Tolkien, non animated Disney films, Star wars, The world Jane Austen corrupted all over again. Where are the original story tellers, those people that actually imagined all this, the creators of worlds, they seem to be gone with all this reshootings and spin offs. The story telling industri seem to be more focused on money now than ever.
Meeee I’ve always wanted to do a lantern event!!
... she probably didn't tell her the REAL birthday, bcs she didn't even know Rapunzel's real birthday or didn't care. she told her the day when she kidnapped her, to be able to count the years and her parents would do the celebration on the day of the kidnapping...
But honestly though it is so sweet how she grabs on to him when she is scared she is like protect me by the way let us know if you used that technique where you would just put on anything and she gets a little bit scared and is like protect me let us know those stories
I love Tangled it's such a refreshing take on the fairytale.
3:27 Crazy how l just saw your reaction to Nightmare before Christmas 🎄 and how Jack is bored with his life. 😂
Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore voice Flynn and Rapunzel so amazing.
I love the way you were talking about finding the right person can change you, a little like when a person finds Jesus...
MAXIMUS BEST BOY MAXIMUS BEST BOY CHANGE MY MIND (you can't)
i remember constantly watching this movie when I was a kid. Its my all time favorite movie.
One year we replaced our local fireworks with lanterns. Bad idea. My sister has a scar on her face fron when wax fell on her.

Aww Oscar ❤ you are so adorable. How you show your feelings is beautiful. You seem like a person with a childlike heart with a pure and childlike enthusiasm about things. To see how someone so sensitively reflects different characters and situations it's so precious and wholesome. You seem like such a cute and nice and fun guy. I really like that. Did you watch the sequel series? If you haven't yet.. You wouldn't get disappointed, just saying 😄
There is also a sequel but it's a series. I suggest it, it's really great.
Excellent reaction I love this movie. It’s real classic the music everything the voice actors tune Disney’s best. Why can’t they make the most again fun until next time if you haven’t seen it you have to see tangled ever after short film. It’s all for now.
Bro if you think Gothel is bad now just wait till you find out what she does in the Tangled series
Can tell you from experience. It's just as beautiful in real life. In Thailand it's called Loi Katan

just a great movie...completely re-watchable...
6:11 Actually, daughters are told that all the time😕.
Tangled movie showing in the Theaters and Disney Plus movies it is all good and Great movie showing Tangled
MY FAVORITE DISNEY MOVIE TOOOOOO!
The worst part of this movie is the fact that gothel actually is the PERFECT depiction of a narcisistic mother with a daughter and is SO sad
You’re O.K. ,React to “ amazing attorney Wooh .It will be wonderful. !!!
I can never look at Mother Gothel the same after seeing Cinema Therapy analyze this movie and the "11 signs of a gaslighting" and how she checks every. box. oh and it was supposed to be "Gaston does interior design" (as far as i'm aware) for a reference to beauty and the beast 28:28 Oscar be like: "can't have your main characters die halfway through the movie" attack on titan be like: *hold my beer*
Woah u started this channel this year? So cool! Oh, in case no one mentioned it already, there is a theory that Mother Gothel is Meg and Hercules passed away and became that flower.
This movie was a lot of people’s Bisexual awakining.
Question. 3:37 Answer. 3:35
I still dont understand how cutting her hair makes the power go away. Like, I understand the power going away from the cut off piece, but not from the bits still attached to her head
Gothel was as selfish as the king. Gothel secretly kept a magical flower that heals anyone's wounds. The king stole it to give it only to his wife. They both suck. Although if everyone had known about it, the flower would not have lasted a year. The perfect ending would be Rapunzel traveling around the world, away from them, free.

Bro you serious? Kidnapping someone so you can selfishly keep yourself alive is WAY different to healing someone in need. I think you’re thinking about this like the queen is the kings property or something. I see it like she’s a person in need of help and the kind (AND THE KINGDOM) want to help her. We got the perfect ending.
