Tamiya 58693 TA08 PRO Overview Part 2
After a fun-filled day at our local track (Cal Raceway), we sit down and chat a little about our initial driving impressions with the new Tamiya TA08 PRO touring car chassis.
We also touch on the new active-rear-toe adjustment as well as the anti-roll bars. There's even some on-track run footage from both Fred's TCS-Spec TA08 and Tony's Expert 17.5T ride! Both cars look amazing on track!
Features:
• 1/10 scale R/C touring car assembly chassis kit.
• Features Stepped-V shaped main chassis which balances weight and rigidity.
• The battery pack and servo are positioned on a slight angle (about 10 degrees) to reduce surface contact while cornering and facilitate optimum weight distribution.
• Spur gear is positioned in front of motor which produces stable drivability.
• 2 belt-driven 4WD uses TRF420 oil-filled gear differentials and steel TA07 differential joint cups.
• A-arm suspension arm gives your model a low center of gravity, enhanced with laid down dampers.
• Camber and caster angles are adjustable by turnbuckle shafts and lower arm spacers respectively.
• Comes with Super Short Big Bore size shock dampers.
• Universal drive shafts and full bearings included.
• Rotating body mounts by 180 degrees switches between standard and 2mm advanced body positions. This feature allows the user to change the balance of the car with any selected body.
• Requires: 2-channel radio, short steering servo, ESC, motor, 190mm touring car body set, tires, 7.2-7.4 volt battery pack & compatible charger.

Thank you for sharing these videos. Please post video of the TCS series, starting from technicals, box and tracks. Thank you
I have a new paved onroad track heading to my area, and I really have my eye in this chassis for next spring... we are gonna give it a shot this fall and see if onroad is our thing, and if we take to it I expect to be seeing up a couple of these over the winter... We're starting with a couple less expensive cars, TT02 for at least one of them. Cheers
I should be apart of RD team 😆 my TA05 SWB 2020 project has TRF420 parts also 🤫😉💯💪🏼😍 great to see you Fred it’s Wilson
Did you just call it a toy! 😊 Amazing driving by the way, looks like a really cool kit
Hi there Any chance you would review the new Tamiya ta08r thanks in advance
Great video. Gonna put my pre-order in at Towerhobbies for this car in the next few days. Question: what is the weight of the car without electronics? I can't find that spec anywhere on the tamiya site. Thanks
I am ordering everything now to run a 25.5 vta class I don’t know what gearing to even think about starting with word is a 3.20 roughly a good start what do you think for pinion and spur combo with that motor setup
Well that was bit short. But at least I know what the TCS class runs for gearing and motors. My Castle 4600Kv likely out run those Reedy motors. I like to hear about how a Front Spool would be for this vehicle or when to run it? Would help my TB-05 out a lot. Most of the parts provide the same attributes.

Using a TRF420 front spool would work and shouldn't hurt since every TC uses a front spool now

You should run a spool unless the track is very tight
