INGREDIENTS:
* 1 cup = 280 g sugar
* 2/3 cup = 160 ml coconut cream
* 1/4 cup = 60 ml ginger juice (blend 1/4 cup chopped ginger and blend with 1 cup water, then strain to get ginger juice)
* 1/4 cup tamarind sauce
* Pinch of salt
* Coconut oil for coating hands and work surface during stretching, pulling, and cutting of candy

    In Trinidad we do something similar...we shape them into balls with sugar and call them tamarind balls. So delicious!!! I just love how similar our cuisine is.

    Usually not afan of sweets for the kids because everything is sugared up in America but coming from u, I know the toffees must be something great to try at home for the holidays. I have everything which is awesome it makes my work so easy. Nanaaba I did alot of your dishes for Thanksgiving everyone loved your smokey chicken jollof, it was amazing n it smelled divine. Astellas dome of your signature fruit drinks as well as your Ghana salad. I was on your page all day. N u didn't let me down. Your dishes n spices combo are divine so I am glad thati decided to stick with u. So now I am tackling this candy for Christmas when my niece n nephews will be coming by it will be a nice surprise for them. Thanks for your food ideas, they are amazing. N u never fail us. Merry Christmas to u n your family. I am sticking with your rolls for Christmas rolls for dinner. U do all n now I do all as well. Thanks for sharing.

    This tamarind candy will sure be irresistible. Amazing how it changes colour as you work on it and stretch. We something similar in Nigeria made with just coconut milk and lime.

    Glad found this, Just new here to your channel i am searching for different recipe for the tamarind candy...using a ginger is a must try it looks so diff and delicious and nutritious! Here in our place using sugar, tamarind are just common recipe for tamarind candy. By the way i am from the Philippiines and thank you for sharing your interesting recipe...love it
