Interested in what Idaho mountain biking looks like at Tamarack Resort? Check out the first video from the second season of our Bike Park Review tour as we stop at Tamarack Bike Park.
Overall, the trails at Tamarack are fun and the mountain has a ton of potential that we’d like to see evolve as the new owners and staff continue to build and work on the park. If you are looking for a place to ride great jump or flow trails, this is not going to be your spot, yet! There are some future plans coming soon and we’re excited to see how they come along. If you’re looking for rocky, tech and steep chutes then you’ll have a ton of fun here at Tamarack and it’s worth making a trip. Especially if you’ve got some beginners in the crew that want to practice on some mellower terrain and move into some fun but not overly scary blues. On top of that, just below the park is another 20 miles of singletrack that are able to be ridden for free and are also ebike friendly! If you want to get some pedaling in while you’re on your trip, they’ve got plenty of options to make it even more welcoming to family rides or rest days.

Rode here yesterday. The trails were blown out, made berms rough on Green/Blues. No new trails and still building the area. Hopefully in the next few years it will improve. I am an intermediate to advanced rider.

That area is such a playground with many outdoor options in the nearby mountains, lakes, and the river. Right up there with Bend! 🤘🏼

Bend has a better nightlife, but yeah.

H B I agree. But Bend is around 100k people. That area in Idaho is around 10k between a few communities. That said, nearby McCall, ID has a few breweries and a small stretch of dining and night life. You can access three lift-accessible bike parks, two recreation lakes, trails, world class rafting/kayaking etc. all within 30 minutes of each other. Pretty cool. I don’t live in Oregon or Idaho 😂 and I’d say Bend is atop the MTB/recreation destination list. This part of Idaho is high on that list too 🤙🏼

@@Noondog No, no, I agree. I went to Tamarack probably 60 times a year as a teenager. I just think that if people go expecting a Bend experience, they are going to be disappointed. With that being said, Tamarack is rad on its own and a great place to visit. Just a different vibe is all.

@@hb7030 @noondog Tamarack will have some more to offer once this impressive village is finished, but as of now, it is pretty quiet at night. And we did try to mention that in the middle when we talked about dining/nightlife stuff. We'd argue the riding here is better than Mt. Bachelor and has more challenging terrain than Bend if you add Jug Mtn to the mix, and the warm lake makes it awesome as well. Very different places that both have their draws.

yes we will be after we put both of them through 6 bike parks worth of testing! But, so far, we are loving almost every single thing about it! If you're looking for a fast, race bike, it's the business.

Last year we ran the Lolo Rack as it holds up to 6 bikes easily. This year with a smaller crew we opted to run the smaller and lighter, Kuatt NV 2.0 theloamwolf.com/2018/11/04/review-kuat-nv-2-0-rack/
Hopefully Silver MTN is next!?
