This game really shows how important atmosphere is for Jumpscares and how they should be used in tandem with threats to keep the player on edge in even safe places.

_The greatest horror..._ Poor urban planning. The creepiest part was him crawling after you in the crypt. Funny little jumpscare game. Perfect to kick off the _S p o o k y S e a s o n_. 👻⚰️💀🦇

Nothing wrong with a more comedic horror game, I appreciate that Tall Poppy was very creative with his planned methods of death. Manly nailed it, he reminds of Casper's brothers' antics. Just a tad more violent, I suppose.

Was so kind of poppy, he knew you were just a pair of levitating hands and even that, he wanted to give you a hand with your problem!

the one jumpscare that got me good was literally the "jumpscare!" past the door one lmao. i appreciate the comedy of this one, good use of jumpscares not being used when expected and having a bit of a laugh with it. good grief that parking lot though

Ah, I remember when John played this game. It's funny. I wish more horror games had this sort of sense of humour to them. Like yeah, he's trying to kill you. But he's having fun while at it! :)

I also remember when John played this, and i just sighed and skipped it bc i was ready for a good spooky night and instead got Tall Poppy and a tired John lol but looking back it's a silly game.

The true horror here is being annoyed to death by the most annoying person in the world.

The "Jumpscare" Jumpscare actually got me, I'll admit.

2:38 It's that green lamp! We have one just like that at our house (it's even the same color) and I've noticed that lamps like that show up in video games (and probably on TV and in movies too) fairly often. So it kind of makes me happy when I see one.

I like to think he wasn’t actually going to kill you ever. Every time he caught you you died of a heart attack and the people he murdered were totally made up to freak you out. Seems like a fun guy.

wont lie, Poppy actually seems like he would be a nice ghost to chill with if you got him to, y'know, not try to kill you and just hang out. Afterall, hes pretty much a harmless fellow(Er... somewhat harmless fellow)

The way they talk about “letting poppy go” implies they either hire ghosts and poppy is an employee OR the letter was written before poppy died and the “letting him go” was killing him.

I just really love how Manly is so nonchalant about everything

Given how many games he played, I think his fear meter is lower.

The fact that the player character is just a pair of floating arms makes me wonder why Poppy wasn't getting jumpscared by you

Man, imagine someone breaking into your house and just calling your shower curtain ugly

My reaction to poppy in this game is literally the same one SpongeBob had after living with the flying Dutchman for awhile. Bored indifference.

Manly hit the mark with the comment about poor urban planning. All that wasted space in the parking lot. Hell put some trees in there at least to break it up a little

This game was an absolute gem...10/10 all the stars perfection at its finest

They gave the parking lot a major amount of room for the semi trucks to unload the bodies. Case closed.

Manly sure has been playing some games with murderers that like to "salt the meat" lately. This one was fun, but man the other one with its title screen changing was A++.

What is it with horror games and making locations (especially interior ones) gigantic? Everyone would be a gravedigger if you got a huge apartment like these. The true horror... was real estate all along. 2:34 I want to give the church some big aesthetic points for lining their desk drawers in purple. You know you have a classy funeral home with that kind of attention to detail. A+ would be dismembered here again. 4:20 (nice) I, too, am picking up that Poppy thinks he's funny in that white frat boy kind of way. 5:50 I'm actually digging the early jumpscares being dumbass pranks. I assume it'll get darker as we go. 7:23 "File taxes" as a Catholic church? Surely those are tax exempt... (plus the true horror was also Live Love Laugh all along) The writing on this whiteboard feels really true to office life and actually funny, so I'm giving the dev kudos for that. 9:04 I don't normally watch jumpscare-heavy games but the fact that he *repeatedly* yells "Jumpscare" while he leaps out at you is genuinely flipping amazing and I'm so glad I watched this. I'm also slowly coming around to Poppy's point of view, because if you die in a spooky basement you shouldn't be in and are cursed to haunt the place, why *wouldn't* you decide to be the cheesy dad-joke of poltergeists? A pop-tergeist, if you will. 9:18 The true horror was the physics engine all along, etc. 14:05 I, too, like to walk around reading in order to avoid encounters. Pro gamer move. Final note: I watched this while eating Mexican takeaway and being trolled by my IRL poltergeist, aka tortoiseshell kitten, who legit stole a pot of sour cream AND one of salsa from under my nose. A+ trolling surround sound, added a lot to the experience. (Thank you for making the Kris potassium reference so I didn't have to. You really are so considerate to your viewers.)

I must vouch that this is one of the best horror games I played. The horror element itself is like any Tiktok meme would have watch. And manly is literally shaking around just makes it pure gold...he doesn't scream for God sake.

I love the voice acting.

I I read the title as "Tall Poopy" and got *very* confused and slightly concerned-

I like the fact that the comedic element is exaggerated by the 100% dry super clean obviously amateur voice acting, it really adds to the "indie-ness" of the game

Alternate tittle: visit a crypt while being haunted by TF2 scout

Even the silliest games can be scary in it's own way.
