0:50 "Thanks", Steve 2024
0:00 get you somebody who looks at you the same way Kingpin looks at Steve
GN sent me here! Love your work! Sick bikes too! Thanks Steve.
I highly suggest putting ferrofluid inside hub motors. It fills the gaps within the magnets and creates a direct contact with the outside bell for better heat transfer. You can seriously drop temps by about 12-20C. It allows safer usage of 48v motors running at 72v
As workshops go this is by far the most stylish, comfortable, cool and well tooled (great housekeeping) workshop I have ever seen. It's a slice of heaven. I'd happily live there and know that no matter when I reached for a No.10 socket or spanner it'd be exactly where I left it each and every single time ...mostly.
“Over clocking you can feel” is such a cool concept.
Gonna need some of that kingpin cooling on that new motor 😂 that thing is fat!
I'm also living in Taiwan and I think it's so funny how little the cops want to actually interact with people. The mindset of not wanting to give people tickets is so different from back home in the US
Came from GN. The lab looks super sick like everything I'd dream of! Subscribed for more technical crazy ✨
When you turn the boost up for the first time on your car - overclocking you can feel, I get it completely.
overclocked bikes
Keep up with the great content on your E-Bike builds, your last video on the drop crown on the fox 40 was very useful. BTW what kind of camera did you use to capture this video? It looks amazing!
This is outstanding, my favorite figure of the PC overclocking scene is hard into my other favorite hobby! Can't wait to see more E-bike/E-Moto content, I live for all things PEV.
Man, what an interesting discovery of a channel! Came here for the OC, now I'm considering buy an e-bike :kekw:
Yeah 5:02 Gotta use the pedal loophole in urban areas... thats the last loop we have to not get ticketed. They will probably make a max speed law, like 49cc law caps for mopeds(depending on city bylaws per area)
kingpin is back lets go !!
hey king you should do a "what bike i would buy if i was a newb." I want an ebike but don't want a pos and have no idea where to start
Hell yeah. Glad you're making videos now. The e-bike content is sick, Ive been wanting to get one for a long time.
Good stuff!
Steve brought me here 😂
Looking forward to seeing the bike builds, should be awesome!
@12:00 Look at what E-cells have done with the thermal potting they've done to their controllers. If you want to OC your bike that shit looks like a must.
Another fun video Vince, good luck on the build, maybe even just the process of building would be nice to see. Also what about an EVGA Kingpin tribute build with that EVGA E1 case. Also saw you loved my previous comment, but since I edited it for a typo, I lost my favorite xD aww.
Yo Kingpin! looking forward to your gear! the casual way you carry yourself through Gamer's Nexus vid, was really cool bro. The formal self you present in your vids is lower vibe comparatively. Be cool bro and be yourself. Looking forward to your content!
every mans dream workshop, i love this man!
I'm really glad you had Steve over so I could find out you now had your own channel. I've always loved seeing your interviews and stuff so I'm really happy to watch more personal content from you. I wish you the best of luck with your channel and with PNY and I'll look forward to what's coming!
Got me intrested in e bikes. Especially where I live there are hills everywhere.
I like dabbling in gopeds which is kinda like this but gas powered 2 stroke scooters. So cool seeing some of this stuff
Very nice
More vlogs from KP Taiwan everyday life would be cool . Like some good places to source material , maybe some stuff related to the collaboration with PNY ( HQ/lab/factory visit ) when it's time etc. Would be also cool to have some insight about the design process of the new KP cards ( assuming its feasable ) . We will be here for it Vince !!!
Hope to see more and would like to see the "B Roll" maybe its own video about what Steve was talking about.
Looking forward to being able to build a rear engined electric open wheel daily. Other people are just a bit to oblivious to enjoy ebikes in NC.
Good chat
Good luck with the moto parts route, ktm nailed it with the water cooled eride, gonna be nice to see this niche develop more.
Thing that always gets me, If you are into bikes in general, its likely you can do 20MPH, i average 25MPH on my LSL MTB, if you have a 700c type, and the build for it, they pass 30MPH easy. I think the law, partially understandably doesn't want kids to speed, but also they believe that if you are on a bike you are weird, cant afford a car, or not an adult yet.

It's more complex ranging from requiring insurance to speed differences. If you are doing 25mph you should be racing in Olympics Are you in UK if so just think of it this way most cycle routes are shared paths with people who walk you cant be having bikes going at high speeds 25mph+ when you got people walking at 4mph. The other thing is the type of speeds mentioned in this video are around what 50cc go and you require a license for that also they are road only legal.

the law is made so that if you want to go fast you need to buy a car and insurance. I can do easily 20-25 mph on a classic pedal bike and there is silly limits for small electric vehicles

@@nicmonberg5974 I can do 20-25 mph no problem

@@metallurgico not at all its about safety. When you heading to Olympics if you are easily doing those speeds you should be in the team on a pedal bike.

@@nicmonberg5974 yes, safety.. like governments want to scan photos and messages on our phone for "children safety".

A chase is a race! Dude with 30kg batteries need no weights in the gym :) I regret a bit not filming any of my bike rides or commute in Taipei traffic. It's not as crazy as some other places in Asia, but compared to US it's night and day :)
Looking forward to the bike content. Want to maybe buy an e-bike and mod it but have no idea what’s good/ where to start
Yooo I've been missing the GNSteve biking content, if there's upcoming bike videos, sign me up
Real world ! really can't wait to see the surron running and hopefully tweeked. The laws in the u.k. are shocking and getting spares for a surron is terrible ! Will there be a Kingpin bike ? 11:32
Looking forward to the future content, both bikes and hardware. How did the new triple tree feel? It looks like it pushed the rake out a bit. Did it change the handling? Help with the bottoming out? Im assuming there are no fork adjustments. If there is, you could also add some compression damping if you don't want to swap to a heavier spring
It would seem to me the obvious safety feature would be to downtune the motor automatically as it approaches max temp but keep brakes. Maybe 120-130 motor goes from 100% to 0% and brake doesn't cut out until 135.
I have a 8-15kw 72v e-bike and I have been fined in Australia for $1,000 for unregister vehicle. I wasn't doing anything bad i was just taking off pretty quickly to the speed limit. About a week later I broke the Axle on the hub motor. I had problems with thermal cut off problems like Steve said I live in a hotter environment and had the bike thermal cut offs. I ended up swapping to bafang motor on a mountain bike because it more incognito
Think you'll ever do a Talaria build? I've seen Sur-ron owners move on to that bike due to more headroom with having gear oil.
I would love to see some city rides. Although it sounds kinda sketch so just be safe and don't get rekt.
Loved your performance as the Fargrimr in Hellblade 2, Vince. (This statement is a joke)
Mr. Kingpin please come out with black and gold electric motorcycles with classic styling (a la Maeving) but with an emphasis on reparability, tunability, customizability, and open source. I would love to charge at the ideal rate for MY use case, only charge to the level that I need (like 50% + 1/2 the power it takes to drive to work and back), adjust the throttle sensitivity to my liking, adjust the power limits based on component temperatures, etc etc.
I want to add blinkers to my 50mph E-scooter because I do a lot of street riding and I can't take my hands off the grips to signal.
👏👏👏
Should try putting that 4090 gpu core on a 3090ti board
Just feeding the algorithm
Anyone have a link to these hub "cool bikes" referenced in the video?
livestream when?
When I overclock my PC, generally the worst thing that happens is that it freezes and my gaming is interrupted. Overclocking an e-bike with me on it seems like much higher stakes.

The good news is the rear wheel doesn't lock when the system crashes/over heats. Generally the bike just starts coasting... or catches fire 😂
Wish they were legal here, its something dumb like 20km/h or lower where i live as well.
Too many kids are ruining the 'ebike' scene and should be more slick about it... only a matter of time before they are classified as motorcycles... sigh

When I was in CA 6 months ago, I saw gangs of teenagers harassing people in cars doing wheelies and slowing down traffic and stuff in Laguna...yah they are going to ruin it with that for sure.

Any plans to sell your custom bikes to Europe?

Water is heavy, extra weight is very bad on a motor bike.
D… do… does this mean you can overclock a Tesla? That’s trippy to think about. I always thought electric vehicles marked the end of tuning 🤔

The Plaid is basically a factory OC'd Model S, so, yes. Yes you can indeed.
now that ive seen this better start working for pny
The federal speed limit for eBikes is 20 miles per hour or less under motor power alone. The tiered classification system, adopted by many states, also specifies this speed limit. That classification sets 20 miles per hour as the legal limit for Class 1 & 2 bikes = Class 1: eBikes that are pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and have a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph. Class 2: eBikes that also have a maximum speed of 20 mph, but are throttle-assisted. Class 3: eBikes that are pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and a maximum assisted speed of 28 mph = USA Thing is = My NON E-Bike Bicycle = With 18 gears = I CAN get that thing up To Nearly 60mph Going down hill and In top Gear = Flat terrain = Around 40 to 45 ish mph = so Truthfully = NONE of this makes ANY sense to me . = YES i have an Old Titanium Racing Bike that Was set up = FROM FACTORY - with Some tall gearing = actually - if i can get behind a truck = NOT GRABBING ONTO IT = i can Aero myself up to that trucks speed which usually tops out Around 50 ish mph = Sometimes faster if i Stay On the Pedals = keep pushing it , And Over on Flat terrains . But down hill = No assists = i CAN hit 60 + mph = EASILY !!! PEDAL ONLY = no motor attached AT ALL . well = I Am the Motor , when i was younger I Dreammed of being in the Olympics with those racing Bikes on those Oval Tracks Beating Everyone , but , remind you that is Only with 18 gears = If i had one of those 32 Gear Light weight racing bikes like they had in the Olympics = O ` M ` G ` !!! / Here's a quick guide for converting 30 kph to mph: Multiply the speed in kph (30) by the conversion factor of 0.621371. Therefore, 30 kph is approximately equivalent to 18.64113 mph / To convert the speed from kilometers per hour to miles per hour (MPH), we use the conversion factor that 1 kilometer is approximately equal to 0.621371 miles. Therefore, to convert 40 kilometers per hour to MPH, we multiply by this factor: 40 km/h × 0.621371 = 24.8548 MPH / To convert kilometers per hour (KPH) to miles per hour (MPH), you can use the formula KPH * 0.62. For example, if the speed is 50 KPH, 50 * 0.62 equals approximately 31 MPH A VIN # has to not Already be in the system = Your local DMV or state office oversees registering of homemade vehicles. Every state will require a list of standard registration items = in short = you hav to take it To the DMV and have it registered !!!
You guys are awesome.
now for some reason i wanna watch crusty demons of dirt with some crazy seth enslow crashes. put on my old SMP hoodie, listen to kotton mouth kings and then take my quadangle to sheep hills.
