Why is that shocking? Afg are the most hospitable people on earth. They’ll give u free food, shelter, and if required, they’ll give their lives for you. And they love tourists.

They are very hospitable people...they dont know english and urdu.. they mostly speak pashto if u learn some pashto words u will have no problem.. they are very cooperative people.

This does not happen in every country. In other countries, they don't talk rudely, and stop tourists at every step(even when they are merely trying to eat food) to interrogate them. This is not hospitality. No wonder Afghans are against women's education and jobs.
