A masterpiece that transcends the time and dimensions of this extraordinary band, and thank’s so much , for bringing me the touching memory of Focus ,trough of the outstanding Thijs Van Leer !

This is the very best version of tales out there ... and the DVD this version is from is to die for ... absolutely awesome .... a lot of bands could take a lesson from Uriah Heep on how to sound so good live .

I love Focus and Uriah Heep, so this was really fun to see the two bands cross over!

adding the flute to an already great tune made it a different sounding version,,, but it worked perfectly in concert and it sounds like it belonged in the song from day one.

It takes more than just Hocus Pocus to make something this great. The flute player helps Focus the sound to create this awesome performance. They should put out an album together called Focus on Heep.

Played at Bristol Hippodrome in the seventies and were awesome, first time I’ve seen them with the wonderful Mr Van Leer, magical combination!😎

@progjazzfusion I use to agree with you, and was very unhappy with John as a replacement and then with Ken left, I left. However, I have come to love John as a lead singer, and when Bernie Shaw took over he brought in the group to a level of greatness without downplaying his predecessors. Before Lee left the group had over 20 years with the same line up and today, they are even more powerful. I believe the overall performance level has been great and long live heep.

Я впервые услышал и увидел Берни на концерте в Олимпийском ещё в СССР, в декабре 1987 г., а потом в Ленинграде в марте 1989. Потом, в России, в Санкт-Петербурге в 1995-м. Тогда он мне не понравился. Я посчитал, чо до Байрона ему Ооочень далеко! Тогда, в 1987-м, я их фотографировал, стоя у сцены и на сейшене после последнего концерта в Ленинграде в 1989-м.. В 2003-м в Санкт-Петербург приехал Кен Хенсли и каждый год, как он приезжал к нам, я ходил на концерт. С 2004-го года я знаком с Кеном. Потрясающий человек! Маэстро! Переписывался с ним по e-mail, подарил Кену изображение моего супер спорт-кара URIAH HEEP "Demons and Wizards" на ватмане А2 и в 3d моделях. Кену это очень понравилось. Но 4-го ноября 2020-го Кен ушел от нас и мне его очень не хватает! Вообще, сейчас URIAH HEEP для меня -- Самая красивая Рок-группа, самая мелодичная! Сейчас ставлю её на 1-е место среди хард-роковых групп. А, ведь в молодости, в 70-е, когда я и сам играл на ударных эту музыку в рок-группе, мне больше нравились Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath. А Берни Шоу на этом концерте поёт довольно достойно, близко к звучанию Байрона. Выходит, с возрастом приходит и ощущение жизни и голос крепнет! А Tales -- потрясающий Шедевр, сочиненный Кеном и флейта здесь очень к месту! Она украшает ко позицию.
