It was an honor contributing to this (“Rage” and “No Good Deed”) and to be able to provide the 40k fandom with Lamenters stories in general, considering how GW/Black Library refuses to provide us with official stories about them despite their popularity. I have written other Lamenters fanfics that can be found on my AO3 page (linked on my channel), including “Underserving,” a prequel-story to “No Good Deed” which tells of the Lamenters’ refusal of the Iron Halo in detail. A big thank you to Paul for another fine compilation, and an equally big thank you to the listeners for their support. For those we cherish! ~ T.T

Bro... "No Good Deed" GOES HARD. Never felt a 40k Story hit so depressing, THEN cap off with such a, good, wholesome, heartwarming end. Tugged on the heart strings. I was expecting sad stories, obviously because Lementers, but Vox, bro you're are killing it with the voice acting. I dropped the desk work I was doing to listen in. Absolutely top tier.

Not a fan of space marine stories but that one was a good one.
Don't Go... that story was something else. Gave me chills. One of the best short stories I've ever heard or read.
Rage is such a saddening short, the idea of going into a mad rage only to have short moments of lucidity where you know nothing of what has happen, what is happening. Seeing your Spiritial leader stand above you while you have been chained down, unable to move. The true fear felt by the astartes who cannot feel fear must be unimaginable, the end where the Chaplain steps out after his brother falls back into his madness, his tears falling under his helmet, having to lie to his brothers of what theyve done in their fevers over and over again whenever they become conscious again.

I never thought theyd be one of my favorites, but they are. They and the Salamanders are so much more visibly human than the rest of the Astartes.

"Don't Go" is so heart wrenching
These Lamenters stories are among my favorite content from you. Kudos to you and the authors for bringing attention to this most worthy of Space Marine Chapters. The Lamenters are the true sons of Sanguinius FOR THOSE WE CHERISH WE DIE IN GLORY
I hadn't heard Rage before this, but only No Good Deeds. Seeing it now gives both a whole new perspective of the pain of our yellow boys. Emperor bless these pained and cursed souls.
Emperor, I did not think I could cry that much from a single story. "Don't Go" will always live rent-free in my mind and heart. FOR THOSE WE CHERISH WE DIE IN GLORY!!!! Nam quos colimus In gloria morimur!!! (Sorry my latin is hella rusty)
The last story is the best story I’ve heard from the 40K universe so far. Kudos to Vox for absolutely crushing this retelling. I work for a company that ships a metric shit ton of D&D-esque games, tabletop and the like. These stories are all I listen to right now
I thought the thousand sons and kurze were tragic stories but the Lementers are true epitome of grim dark. In my opinion they are almost as caring and humanity driven chapters besides the Salamanders. Great work. I felt every bit of emotion you put in this piece.
Not only a collection of past works featuring the Lamenters, but a new narration as well? You spoil us, Vox. Splendid work as always.
God Emperor that last one is heartbreaking
I... I'm not crying, I swear...
Bro.. The moment with the Militia placing their hands reverently on Brenevere's dying body amd thanking him made me weep
I'm not crying you're crying 😭😭😭😭
I very rarely comment, but I feel this warrants one. I found your channel about a year ago, and from the very first video I watched, I was ABSOLUTELY HOOKED! The quality, the way the stories are told, the amazing way I am instantly transported to whatever story I am listening to....Rage....man, never, and I mean never have I watched a Warhammer video and been brought to tears, literally crying because I felt the pain of both Bernaden and the pain of Valorant for having to tell the same lies constantly with no end in sight, man.....then there is "Don't Go", I won't say anything on the off chance someone has not heard it yet, but, thank you! This is what storytelling is supposed to be!!!!
2:00:49 "For those we cherish, we die in glory!" Me: Choked sobbing "Download Raid: Shadow Legends" Me: *EVEN HARDER SOBBING*
"Don't Go," nearly brought me to tears. A beautifully written, and beautifully read piece of fiction.
something about hearing fully grown and battle-hardened space marines racing down a hall giggling is amazing lmao.
I think its your audio that has made me a fan of the Lamenters. These were some sad tales. But also show the humanity and dignity of the Lamenters, unlike other chapters that view humans as just something that exists.
The “The bleeding hearts” line is great also “the final lamentation” shows the sorrow of the lamenters and the fury and I love it the power of emotions so very human when used by an astartes.

40k goes so hard I'm amazed we dont have like 7 seasons of short animations from a high end studio. This is poetic & tragic all in one.
Thanks for making my cry at work with "Don't go"
Don't Go I'd heard before, and this hearing was not any better. It was one of the hardest things I've had to hear from Warhammer 40000. Listening to this at work, this time, made it so much harder.
“Wake up babe, new Vox video just dropped!” Love your stuff, your voice work is incredible!! GW should really consider you as a voice actor for any future animated projects.
ok, these are good, "Rage" was sad, haunting even. "The Final Lamentation" was FUN. seeing the Chaos on the back peddle, and their fear was something you don't see much of if at all. this was GOOD. and "Don't go" was powerful. sad, beautiful, memorable. damn that little voice... it rips at the heart.
“Don’t Go” got me shedding a tear. You know it’s good, that even with your attention divided it still captivates you. I agree with everyone else, that this is another one of my favorites with y’all
How dare you make me feel feelings
Thanks for the compilation! Love the attention for a successor chapter instead of just the poster boys. The “Rage” story is an excellent addition to this list.

Great collection Vox! No Good Deed and Don't Go are some of my most liked stories, even though, these two are always bring tears to my eyes.
Don't go and the lamentation are phenomenal
My favorite chapter, I hope they get a novel soon!
My heart bleeds for this Chapter..
Sanguinius: The Vampire Space Jesus who embodies glorious sacrifice of the deathless. That was beautiful.
“Let’s race “😂 my god that made me loose it haha
Dude, every story you inspires. You are definitely the best 40k narrator out there.
Wow, these are fantastic. No movie has evoked such emotion as these stories, so far I've had tears in my eyes at the end of all three of the ones I listened to. This is making Lamenters my favorite chapter, haha. Thank you brother, your work is absolutely brilliant.
The most human of all the chapters.
All good stories. Though for different reasons. Rage gives the horror of a shattered mind. No Good Deed, the darkness of survivors guilt. Shame I am forced to credit with getting the feel right though it fills me with disgust at the Imperium and its abhorrent Emperor. Final Lamentation, the fury and horror of a blood drunk berserker. Don't Go, truly sad. Especially when one realizes the in-universe history. Damned cowardly Mortifactors.
The most likeable Astartes chapter
I was about to cry listening to him deny his brother death
The last time I cried this hard at something was the end of telltales the walking dead season 2 and 1. Don’t go hit me so hard.
Your narration is so engaging and awesome, but this video exceeded my expectations. It really delivered on the tragedy and sadness of these stories and the legion chained to loss and vengeance. Incredible work--I hope that more people find it.
Oh no. He killed the baby bugs. I feel his shame 😭😭

This is the only one that doesn't make sense to me. I can see any space marine hating that kind of work, not because he's slaying xenos young but because he's wasting his time doing something a guardsman should be doing. The conditioning they undertake is extensive and in any interaction with a xenos, the biggest struggle a space marine will have, will be to not slay it immediately.

Or maybe the shame was his sadness and reluctance to kill the xenos. That would make sense. I still don't get the order to stay in his quarters even if that's the case

Emperor be praised when Brother Vox leads the charge against Monday morning blues
Shame feels terrible; the Suthaarid (?) are being killed simply for existing, so you see the worst elements of the Imperium. And the Lamenter had the unenviable, ignominious task of slaying the young. Shame, indeed. I like the Ultramarines to some extent and also the Salamanders; however, *Don't Go* really puts the the Lamenters as the preeminent chapter. They are the most unequivocally good that appear to exist in the Imperium.
This channel has been absolutely incredible Warhammer lore! Like gamesworkshop needs to start being interested in his story telling! Great work 👍👏👏👏
