I'm 74 now and it warms my heart to see a kid have so much sensibility and gumption. When I was his age adults would just say "Get outta here kid..let the adults handle this." Well, the adults /didn't/ handle it. Thankfully we now have KZread AND kids like you that will end up fixing a lot of things. Good for you kid, GOOD FOR YOU. America should be proud to have someone like you in the next generation. And please realize that you are NOT a 'kid' but are smart young person.
Definitely one of the best Tedx's I've seen. Kept me engaged the entire time on a topic that was really interesting!
I'm so obsessed with these kind of topics
He's so young but so talented!!
What an awe-inspiring story about this teenage film maker. This story made me shed a tear.
God he's sooooo awkward. I respect him for getting up there with that level of apparent anxiety
Really smart guy. Not just about film making - a lesson in how to use film for social purpose. Great.
It's great that they have an ASL translator!
U a legend boi, i love this talk. Respect from Jamaica, from the next baddest director in jamaica. Bless up.
This guy is so great, talented and funny. That was an amazing speech!
He was obviously raised right with love and attention. Well done and great message.
His story/life is totally wonderful...
Makes you feel bad that you didn't get into filming earlier. To be fair George Lucas only picked up a camera when he was 18, there's hope for some of us.

& Paul Schrader (known for writing Taxi Driver, in 5 days nonetheless) watched his first movie at the age of 17. there's no age limit to filmmaking so don't feel too bad :)

there is? I feel really bad because cinema is something that I've ever wanted to do, but my parents were always against it, so with that in my mind and the fact that I didn't believe myself as well, that took me to different directions. now my journey took me to discover storytelling as my number 1 passion on this cinema world, but still with 22 and I haven't got into it yet... I'm trying to get into the college for audiovisual course tho. So even tho I'm still not that confident about myself, I'm trying!!! I have so many stories to tell, hope I get able to do it 🥺

@@soojintrust I mean I say George Lucas GOT INTO filmmaking at 18 - as to when he actually hit success he was probably 30 - that is the golden age for 90% of creatives. Sure, Orson Welles made CITIZEN KANE at 25 because he’s quite literally the second coming of Christ😂 - but alternatively Ridley Scott was in advertising for 30 years before making his first film at 40! But look at Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino and Christopher Nolan - and countless others got into the industry around the golden age of 30.
Simply Inspiring!
We can all have a great impact in our universe with the help of technology.
Thankyou Zachary Maxwell

It don't matter if you have even a flipping $20,000 camera. If you don't know how to make a good film, no one will watch it.
