Correct. The F1 cars of today have out grown that circuit.. Unless your just blazing faster than the car in front of you, you can't pass under racing condtions.. that or you get screwed in the pit rotation..

As you may know, he started his racing career in UK staying Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. (It is quite rare case as a Japanese racing driver) Although I remember his Japanese accents in his English during his formula 1 era was not so prominent rather than nowadays, I wonder why. Anyway, congratulations Takuma!

Happy he won. Interesting how Sato speaks with a British accent, must be the result of his driving Formula 1. Like when the great Toni Kukoc first arrived in the US. He spoke English with an Italian accent after playing for Benetton Treviso. No disrespect to either man, their English is much better than my Japanese or Serbo-Croatian.

I'd like Indy Car to return to the Pacific Rim in general. They have great fan support in AU/NZ and they should ride the wave of popular support for Sato that they should go back to Surfer's as well as run the ROAD COURSE at Twin Motegi, the drivers loved it the last time they went.

So happy for Sato. richly deserved. Thankful everyone is ok after the race... frightening moment for Dixon tho. and absolutely gutted for Alonso. He may not have won it dropping back after the last safety car, but he showed the World how talented he is given the right machinery. boring race tho if I'm honest.

AngryWelshman How was it Boring!? Tons of passing and different leaders through out the race, they even went 4 and 5 wide a few times. With the exception of more than average yellows, many due to debris or engine failure, it was an excellent example of what Oval racing can be.

Castroneves and Sato both had a great race!! Either one would have been worthy champion. Though with Castroneves already have won a couple of Indy 500's it was time for a new face to be in victory lane this time.

Man, you have some high entertainment standards. A car was launched into the air and another one drove underneath it. A current F1 driver led a bunch of laps at the Indy 500. There were like 6 cautions, so if you're a crash junkie, those, or if you like racing drama, restarts. You had two front runners suddenly drop out with mechanical failures. And then you had someone like Sato pull the win out, after battling with that F1 driver in the last 20 laps...

Well... It proves that 1) Old Money still rules motorsports in America 2) That "White money" still rules American Motorsports are every turn. Follow the majority of Motorsport around and have particular interest in Sport Compact Drag Racing. I can tell you that point #2 I made rings true. When the pioneers of Import/Sport Compact drag racing is made of Asian Americans usually from Vietnam, South Korea, Philippines or Thailand not Japan; When GM, Dodge and Ford all entered the sport they all went and got White usually male drivers from other NHRA Sportsman series. Or even White women from outside the sport,, Stephanie Eggum comes to mind. There is more to it than I can post here but the reason why veterans dominate professional motorsports in America is all about M-O-N-E-Y.

A past winner I can't remember who.....but anyway he drank orange juice instead of milk and I believe that is the only time someone drank something different.
Fake race, here win who have more lucky and who avoid the crashes.

Well... It proves that 1) Old Money still rules motorsports in America 2) That "White money" still rules American Motorsports are every turn. Follow the majority of Motorsport around and have particular interest in Sport Compact Drag Racing. I can tell you that point #2 I made rings true. When the pioneers of Import/Sport Compact drag racing is made of Asian Americans usually from Vietnam, South Korea, Philippines or Thailand not Japan; When GM, Dodge and Ford all entered the sport they all went and got White usually male drivers from other NHRA Sportsman series. Or even White women from outside the sport,, Stephanie Eggum comes to mind. There is more to it than I can post here but the reason why veterans dominate professional motorsports in America is all about M-O-N-E-Y.

A race does not make a pilot great ...., seven years in F1 and only was 3rd in a race .., 7 years in Indy and only 3 wins ...., that's not being a good driver.
