Phil, unfortunately all the Porsche turret king tigers must have zimmerit; the exception are the prototypes, one of which is in Bovington and that's the reason it hasn't zimmerit. Henschel turret ones can have or not zimmerit applied depending on the construction date.

It's a fun build, I have gotten a decent amount of progress on a cutaway of the Henschnel version, though be careful with some of the assemblies, as I had issues with the upper hull being warped, and there are also some more issues with the suspension, and torsion bar swing arms being angled backwards, messing with the alignment of the road wheels. I haven't found a solution yet, but I think it will require removing material around the swing arms, or drilling out the ports in the hull.

Tommy Styrvoky heat them with a hairdryer just like resin should be able to strategy them out. Then let cool

Fire Fox I did heat it with a hairdryer, it fixed some of the warping, though what really helped is gluing the rear hull plate to the upper hull. there's still a small gap in the from hull though. www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=254179&page=1

Hi, I never tried Takom kits so I would like to know your thoughts about it: Why did you consider it your favorite brand ? (fit, engineering, plastic quality, options range, .. etc)

I think they are well thought out kits in a range of interesting subjects. Great detai, interesting options, clear instructions and quality plastic. As a modeler who is not a "builder" but more of a painter, I think they are a good fit for me. Are they perfect? No. But they are quite good. You get Dragon Models-like detail with close to Tamiya-like construction. I think that's a pretty good deal I have a couple blog posts written about the Takom Mk. It still amazes me when 2016 and 2017 kits come out with ridiculous price tag but they throw a 2-part barrel! The default should be a metal/aluminum barrel included in box. I respect AFV kits for that.
