Let's Paint and Weather a German Panther G Tank with Full Interior Details (Takom 1/35)

Ойын-сауық

This week we continue the series on Takom's Panther G with full interior by adding some color to our model. I show you how I painted the remaining interior and then we add a beautiful three tone camo using some black goop!

    I believe that those pedals on the turret floor are for the turret traverse.

    Certainly that and I believe there was a pedal for firing the main gun too

    The reason late tanks were often red inside was that they were often short on paint by that time. The red is minium, the anti-rust coat, so that's what you had on there if you had nothibg else .Note the stuff inside delivered by subcontractors may well still be in the normal colors. It was even used in camo (ref the Panther at Bovington). They'd deliver it to the troops in minium red, and these added other camo paint patterns to it.

    Thanks for the explanation. I read that there were only a few months in 1944 where the interiors were only given the anti-rust coat on the interior. I had looked into it because the Takom kit shows the Panther interior in all rotbraun but the RFM kit showed the crew compartments in cremeweiss

    Add a bit of white glue to the track pins.

  • @relentlesstorm

    Good tip! I was cautious at adding any type of glue until the tracks were in place as I wanted to be able to work them into position.

    @@relentlesstorm Glad to help! The glue won't bind them like super glue does, but will keep them from falling out.

    Pigments are here - spraygunner.com/paints-for-airbrush/ammo-by-mig/pigments/ I noticed they are out of stock in a few so I would check sprue brothers. Spraygunner has the best prices on ammo products Drybrush paint - spraygunner.com/paints-for-airbrush/ammo-by-mig/acrylic-bottles/dio-drybrush-colors/ Drybrush brush - spraygunner.com/markers-pencils-brushes/hobby-brush/ammo-by-mig-brushes/ammo-by-mig-brushes-6-ammo-drybrush-technical-brush/ I have the 6 and the 8 size dry brush. Another good (and super cheap) dry brush for larger stuff, (think diorama rocks) is those big poofy makeup brushes.

    Great job as always Storm!! I really like the 3D print paint stand, do you think it would fit Andy's 1/16 Tiger?

  • @relentlesstorm

    @relentlesstorm

    6 ай бұрын

    Good question! I actually had to grab my Andy's Tiger to confirm and IT FITS! You can use the vice top like I used on the Panther hull. You could also use the base like I did on my T-34 and use a securing nut. There's already a hole in the hull of Andy's Tiger so you could use that

    @relentlesstorm9356 Awesome, thank you for checking that, I think the clamp would be the best option, the Tiger has all of the torsion bars, and I made mine with working suspension.
