Issue is often times country folk dont accept people that do not look like them. So yeah its an option for many but not for all.
It is an amazing life style. they are dependent on themselves.

They should have worked on a similar, Spanish farm first (they may have to pay for the privilege) before buying the farm. Learning the culture as well as the language is essential to fitting in!
