If you don't have student card of that city, you can still buy a public transportation card of different cities in China. Using card to pay will always get you some discount comparing to use cash or coins.

China's public transportation is very developed, high quality and cheap. A policy to encourage the replacement of fuel buses with electric buses has also recently been issued.

    1. In some city of China (Beijing), you need to wipe your city card two times when you get on and off the bus. 2. Now in most cities, you can directly use the QR code of Alipay to take bus. But you need to add that feature first. 3. For most cities, you can top-up your city card by Alipay using the phone with NFC function.

In China,Baidu map is literally better than Google map and no need to access your VPN. I live in Germany so called cheapest country in West EU. But i still have to say China is the real Heaven for whom does not matter with crowd. For sure if someone doubts with pollution and bad air you definitely could jump out of the East then you can get no bad air and environment even better.

No, you certainly don't need an iPhone in China. In fact most Chinese don't use iPhones (even though China is the 2nd largest market for Apple). You can use Baidu Maps, or any other bus apps. I find the Baidu Maps very useful. It even shows you in real time where your bus is at any given point in time. You simply type in where you want to go, and the app will show you the different options to get there and their estimated time and costs. All the buses in China (or at least the major cities anyway) have GPS turned on. So the app will even show you exactly where your bus is. So if it's delayed, you know it is delayed

@@IsabelleMuzerie Haha, maybe you should be more sensitive to politics. This wrong map missed Taiwan island. Even if Western governments ostensibly acknowledge the One China Policy, but they secretly turned a blind eye to the spread of such wrong map. So I said it's not your fault, it's most western countries' hostile act to China. Interesting.
