A very nice video！But there might be a mistake in the third reason. One of the degrees for a full-time bachelor student should be from XJTLU directly, instead of Xi'an Jiaotong University. That might because XJTLU has got its own independent legal entity.

I did my bachelor degree in Xian then I came to Canada for my master degree. I met a Canadian lady in my graduate school who taught English in Xian for many years since 80's. She told me a lot of things about China and Xi an. When I was in my undegrad, I saw many international students as well but I did not see them have many interactions with local Chinese. I strongly encourage you to learn more about Chinese, Chinese culture, Chinese history, Chinese values, Chinese romance and melancholy. It would be an journey with a lot of fun and surprise.

Thanks for the videos Isabelle. They are super informative! You said that you would receive two certificates from a Bachelor degree. Do you know if this also applies to a Master's degree? I have an offer to study a Master's there in September but I'm still unclear about whether my certificate will be technically from a UK uni or a Chinese uni

You receive the degree from both Liverpool University and XJTLU, it is mentioned on the website.

Is it common to find an apartment with swimming pool around there?

Hi. Great videos, ur doing a good job. I have a question: why is the tuition fee for xi'an jiaotong - Liverpool, 88.000 a year, while all of the other universities are about half that or under? I don't get it, because the school is not ranked that great overall by several different rankings.

I don't know exactly why this is the case. But I believe that the merge with Liverpool University is the reason for the higher tuition fee 🤷🏼‍♀️

Being a vegan would be extremely difficult. I had a vegetarian friend there, and even that was very hard. She mistakenly ate a bit of meat twice. China loves their meat and it's in everything: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Vegetarianism is not something many restaurant owners understood. The language barrier also makes it hard to communicate your dietary wishes!

Your videos are really helpful. Thank you. Please, I'll like to know if you know any African (specifically) or black (generally) students there or how often you see them. Thank you.

You can buy routers everywhere. There is a store near the dorm that sells it too. It's very affordable (around 10euros). There are no monthly payments at the international parfait apartment, just buy the router and that's it!

It depended on the course, some classes only had 20 students, some 30, and some 50+ (which would be a lecture)

@@IsabelleMuzerie Thank you for this information. Though required classes may perhaps have more than 400 students based on what I heard. I'm actually enrolled for this year and earned a 40% scholarship, but I'm not sure when I can come to Suzhou since there are strict Sino-American travel restrictions.

Are there any bars or places to drink on campus. I'm aware of the difference in culture but do the students get together and chill anywhere? Did you manage to experience and of Suzhou's nightlife?

There is a bar near the student dorms but usually the students chill at the street food!
