That's Fred Mascherino. Who is doing his own thing now under his own band name "the color Fred." I mention it because he's still absolutely got it and he does cheap emo night concerts that are fucking awesome and like $12. One hundred percent recommend it!

Back in elementary when i first heared this on the radio i knew already this is a real banger song. Up to now 2024 still listening to this beatiful melody. Makes me teary at some point

I love this band. Adam is a great vocalist with amazing stage presence. I miss Fred, Matt, and Eddie. That was a great time for the band as far as instruments go, there was some really good stuff there. Iconic

Skill wise it was better too. Matt is a jazz bassist before TBS. Fred pretty much wrote all the 2nd and 3rd album songs. Eddie is a great rhythm guitarist. Lastly, Mark makes the music heavy.

As far as recording something you can’t perform live, hey, I’m sure he meant well or thought he’d be able to tour and perform live nightly and maintain his vocal performance. That is a tough song as far as vocals go 💯 I personally don’t need a band to sound exactly like they do in the studio to enjoy them live, as long as the stage presence and entertainment value is there. I’ve seen them a handful of times throughout the years, with both good sounding nights from him and bad. That’s show biz baby!

Adam is one of those people whose voice makes me happy regardless of performance. I guess just the frequency of it. I'd listen to a "bad" performance of his over most good performances from others

It's just a very hard song to sing. You're comparing a studio recorded take that was recorded multiple times until just right to a live performance which was probably pretty close to the release of this song releasing so they didn't play it as much. This is not me defending TBS bc I like them (I only listen to like 10 songs) it's me defending someone because singing is hard as hell.

This is great but also as a singer gives me anxiety to see how hard they were pushing their voices on a nightly basis out of their ranges essentially. No fucking wonder Adam can’t sing anymore. But nah... one of my favorite bands... def not good live. Seen them so many times that i don't even remember the number of times ive seen them. Still fun to watch because for us adults now these guys are legends. And everyone gets involved singing along every word. But out of the thounsands of live performances online there's only one good live performance. But thats how most of us fans like it. Its the garage band era.

He also plays guitar and bass . But just doesn’t do it as lead singer. He was bass player for tbs before he was lead singer. And he also writes a lot of his songs on guitar by himself ...he didn’t use his voice properly . That’s why he can’t hit notes anymore live because he strained and ruined his voice from untrained screaming around the first and 2nd album
