The tutorial spent the majority of time on the community applications and not the basic 'how to' I am looking for. I am disappointed that the tutorials in the Boating App Academy are a short series focusing on a specific function. I would like to see a tutorial, or reference manual, that starts with an overview and then goes soup to nuts. I shouldn't be spending so much time looking for information

At 17:45 in the video you entered a comment to an ActiveCaptain Hazard POI and said this will show up on a Garmin chartplotter. Unfortunately this is not true. Comments and several other information fields will not show up on Garmin chartplotters if POI type is other than "Marina". Garmin is aware of this bug for more than a year, but so far they failed to fix it.

The strange part is that Navionics doesn’t work with our new Garmin GPS. Plotting and creating a route is awful with Active Captain

Hi James. The Navionics Boating app can export routes and markers as a GPX file that can be shared to your ActiveCaptain app if you wish to import a planned route. 1. Open the ActiveCaptain app. 2. Open the Navionics Boating app. 3. Go to Menu > Routes (or Markers or Tracks) to view your Archive. 4. Tap the Select option in the upper right. 5. Select the items you would like to transfer. 6. Tap the Share button in the lower left. 7. Share as a GPX file and select to share with the ActiveCaptain app. 8. The ActiveCaptain app will open and you will need to choose the Import option on the pop up. You can find the Imported items in the ActiveCaptain app by going to Chart > Menu > User Data. A current subscriptions for coverage within the Boating app is required to utilize the export function. You can find more information by going to www.navionics.com/usa/blog/post/how-to-use-navionics-boating-app-with-your-garmin-chartplotter.
