Taking a Run - DJ's Tramline - Cannon (2024)

Спорт

3.26.2024
This trail was added to the map in 2003 but was initially referred to as 'Tramline Trail' and then DJ's Tramline as of 2008.
Finally got back to Cannon on a day this was open!
Classic gnarly technical New England skiing.

Skied it on Sunday at 9:20am when there were only a handful of tracks going down. It was deep pow and I could huck off anything. One of the best days of the season!

It’s amazing the difference having poles makes but I fell they have a place on that you need them for sure

I am surprised this trail isn’t mentioned more like Goat, Rumble, and Paradise. That’s a rock field !

Could be because it is open less frequently than those other trails! If only Cannon got Jay snowfall ...

Love the videos! I skied DJ’s and a couple other of Cannon’s hidden gems this past Sunday. Was some of the best New England skiing I’ve done this season!

This is where you remember that this was never intended to be a ski trail. The only reason it opened was because it was impossible to keep skiers off the trail. The open it once there is at least 2 to 3 feet of snow, but even then... It looks like you're skiing through a quarry! Thanks for sharing.

Many resorts have lift lines that look way less sketchy that are not considered trails 😂

Dude, you are a masterclass in methodically taking on super sketchy/technical descents. I have actually become a better skier from watching your videos. Laughed/cheered throughout the whole video. Bravo 🙌🏼 And I second the thing about poles!

Nice job getting out there before it closes again for a year or two! I live 15 minutes away and would be happy to ski this line just once in my lifetime 😂.

I avoided most of the stuff I needed to avoid haha. These skis will definitely need a tune either end of season or beginning of next!

All of my skis eventually kinda get there. The Rustler 9s have definitely absorbed the most damage lately though!

I was wondering if you'd hit this on the way to or from Maine. Quite a rock garden, but no ice floes like Freefall or M1 Liftline. A gruelathon none the less!

Don’t bring your new skis he says, more like don’t bring any ski that you care about 😂

Definitely a good test of technical maneuvering!
