Taking a Ferry From Santorini to Ios Island - Greek Island Ferry

In this tour we go from Santorini ferry port to Ios Island. Much of this tour is at the Santorini ferry port before we actually arrive in Ios island. The total trip from one island to another took about 40 minutes.

Time to get home. Migration summer time in the EU. You can tell summer is ending. I know from being a Canadian, they start to freak out in late August, because Winter is coming.

Thanks for posting this video. I am discouraged to take these big ferries. It's crazy. We are planning to go in September this year but watching this, I think I will have to move it to mid or end of October. I think we will just take one ferry ride from Crete to Santorini. No more island hopping. I just saw a small super ferry on this route. Maybe we will just go with this for experience. Which website did you buy your ticket? Happy travels.

Hey Tony, may I ask what you are discouraged about, I may be able to assist you with answering some of your concerns. I typically stay away from these because of the heights that can be involved. Which I find intimidating. I found the Greek island ferries to be okay for me.

@@VirtCam Hi, I'm looking at your video again. We will not bring our house or whatever we have in our bathrooms. It's the pushing or hauling of the suitcase and carry on bag during boarding. The ramp looks short but steep inclined. Luggage storage is below before the stairs. That's good. Deboarding is fine. Maybe board last so nobody will rush us from behind. Anyway there are plenty of seats and I have read that October will not be very busy. Ferry looks safe and not really too big compared to Cruise ships. I don't like the windy road going up and down the Caldera. But it's a dream to visit Santorini. I have to deal with it I guess. Thanks.

@@tonyo7324 Piece of acvice: Pack light. Instead of bringing lots of clothes, just bring a few sets and use the laundry every couple of days. That way you can get away with one reasonably sized piece of luggage instead of two or three. The ferries are fine and no reason to be scared, what seems to be hectic is just the usual flow. No need to be worried about the road either, your bus or taxi driver will take care of it. So far everyone taking it has survived.
