I’ve watched this video over 10 times. It still is and always will be the best hunting video ever in my mind.

There isn't a feeling in the world better than that, did you see his adrenaline just overloaded

I had to stop the video at the 15:20 point , I couldn't stop smiling at your expression when you took your second shot and realized your success. Congrats man , OK now back to watch the rest of the video .

15:20 The expression on Devin's face is what gets hunters out of bed at 2 AM. It's what makes us nearly pass out from heat exhaustion doing prep work in the summer with the mosquitos eating us while climbing trees and cutting lanes. Getting to share this with your father? There's a part of our primitive brains that gets touched here that far too few people allow themselves to experience. There is no substitute anywhere else in the world for this experience. I'm a photographer and videographer, and the editing, footage, and storytelling here is world class (slow motion raindrops while tagging the elk is such a nice touch). Absolutely marvelous stuff. Absolutely one of the most EPIC elk hunting videos I've seen. Good on you for sticking to the bow through the thick and thin of it all. The gratification one gets from taking such a majectic animal with archery tackle generates a truly amazing and unique experience indeed. I've taken over 20 archery elk and the feeling is no different from when I harvested my first one to my most recent. I'm hoping someday to get lucky and take a true monster as you did. Well done young man!!

Amazing to see how much preparation really goes into a good hunt. It's not just a group of people going out "guns blazing"

I don't know about the rest of you but I just love the sound of an elk. Excellent job.

I love archery mate.. I have been thrown in the truck for years by my father to go hunting with him with bows , and I state that being eye to eye with a animal of any size with a bow is a trophy . I have taken big and small animals in the state of wa. from mountain lion to large elk bulls there is no better hunt in my eyes is seeing through my dad and my son in the field hunting for game.. WITH A BOW IN MY HAND loved it gentleman.

I have to say that I've watched a whole lot of hunting videos but THIS ONE ranks amongst the very top! The videoing, the anxiety, the suspense, the excitement and the ultimate successful shot.... it doesn't get any better than that. The way you filmed and presented this hunt took all of us viewing this and brought us right through the computer screens into the woods right there with you. I was so cranked up watching this that it felt like I was right there with you. Just gotta' say JOB VERY WELL DONE and WHAT AN OUTSTANDING BULL!!! Thank you for the adventure!!!

It wasnt a clean shot the animal died for sport not for sustanace the guy is a joke just for a pair of antlers i love hunting but at least i apreciate were i get my food from every day and i thank god for and the animal for giving its life to me your a phony and dont deserve any credit for wat u do u dont understand real hunting you have no respect for wildlife thank you for showing how adolesant humanity can be

Elk are beautiful creatures but their vocalizations are chilling, they really give you a feel for their size and power.

What a magnificent animal taken in a magical place. An elk hunt is on my bucket list. I hope I get to experience it.

just tearing up at how beautiful that land is even though in person i know its very chilly and muggy, its very very pretty on camera, and that is what makes it important in a video. very big nature lover and i think this really catches the beauty of hunting and the respect of nature. makes me think of the hunting trips i took with my gramps. thank you for sharing.
