Take Tyrosine For Better Adrenal, Thyroid & Brain Health

Tyrosine is considered a nonessential amino acid which means your body can create it from other precursors. You would imagine, then, that it would have no problem creating what it needs, right? You'd think so but you'd be wrong because there are plenty of people who use this supplement to benefit various areas of their body.
Tyrosine is required by the body for the creation of certain neurotransmitters and important hormones and if your body can't create them, you will be symptomatic. This is where tyrosine supplementation steps in.
We know from patient experience, various studies, and physiology, that taking tyrosine may benefit the following areas:
1. Better thyroid health. This is because tyrosine is necessary for the creation of thyroid hormone. Not enough thyroid hormone means low thyroid symptoms.
2. Better adrenal health. This is because tyrosine is needed to create norepinephrine and epinephrine. The use of tyrosine has been shown to improve athletic performance.
3. Better brain health. Tyrosine is needed to create dopamine. When dopamine levels are low you may end up with symptoms like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and so on.
4. Better skin health. Tyrosine is needed to create melanin which is used to protect your skin from UV light and oxidative stress.
If you want to take tyrosine, using l-tyrosine is the most stable form and the dosing is anywhere from 100 to 500 mg on up.

Great video! I am using 500 tyrosine + 500mg acetyl-tyrosine (on empty stomach) before excercise and it gives great mood and energy. Before I was too lethargic due to depression and burnt out adrenals. The fact that I can exercise now also greatly decreased my depression and I feel great again. Added bonus I get the california tan now too👍 I do not use caffeine (don’t want to overwork adrenals) instead I use theanine and vitamin C👍

I would love to know same stuff for ox liver. I eat it twice a year as it is the best source of choline. Also price wise is lot more sensible to buy liver or hearts (or offal) than meat. It has same amount of protein, but also delivers way more nutrients like vitamins and micro elements.

Anyone, feel free to weigh in on this if you like, but I want to share something I have found to be invaluable when it comes to dosing supplements; it's called the Sway Test, and you can put that in the YT search bar to learn how to do it. You are basically asking your body on an energetic level what it needs to function better. I have been using this method to dose everything I take for years, and it seems to work quite well.

These questions are for anyone knowledgeable on the topic since its unlikely Dr. Childs will answer my questions. Since not everyone may not need L-tyrosine and I typically have issues with insomnia, but also have attention deficit at times I would like to try it. However, dopamine the metabolite of L tyrosine is supposed to help with sleep, but could tyrosine make it worse since we also know that too much downstream neurotransmitter metabolites like norepinephrine and epinephrine will cause insomnia or cause overproduction of thyroid hormone?, Would it be worth just trying the lowest dose, i.e., 250 mg to see how that is impacted? It also seems paradoxical when they say dopamine helps with sleep when we also know that the antidepressant drug Bupropion, a dopamine reuptake inhibitor, can cause insomnia. I also hear that some practitioners are doing blood testing to assess one's neurotransmitter or metabolite marker levels and to point to the need for supplementation. However, is this accurate if this is just a snapshot of ones levels that could fluctuate? Has research shown that levels broadly swing due to different factors such as time of day (circadian effects), recent meals and protein intake, stress levels, life events, or are blood levels more stable unless someone has something like a bipolar disorder in which case such cycling might be predicted? Should neurotransmitter blood level test results be used to base supplementation recommendations?

It's not from too much iodine, I've taken 100mg yes, milligrams that's 10,000x over the RDA, you'll need to be taking selenium, get it from grass fed liver or supplement with 100-200 mcg selenium for a little while. I did that to decalcify the pineal gland and it works like nothing else. Iodine is the safest mineral on the planet so many other factors cause hyperthyroidism like the ingredients in out food like MSG and seed oils.

methylene blue, i use 10 drops in 1 cup water, add half tsp vit c powder, stir well, wait about 40 minutes for it to go light blue, then drink; about 2 hrs before sports; its great stuff! be VERY careful handling it as it stains like indian ink! @@KristenTorry
