I have a super similar process with the exposure app, but if you want to correctly expose for something like a car, just walk right up to it and fill the phones camera frame with the subject that you want to shoot. That way the light meter isn't compensating for the highlights that can safely be blown out, and you'll correctly expose for your subject in the shadows. Obviously reciprocity comes into it as well. As far as I know tapping the screen vs. going right up to the subject gives slightly different results depending on how much latitude you have going on in your scene. Your photos came out dope though. Huge fan of the 7/11 shots.

This was a great vid, really encompasses my trials with shooting night photos. My camera has pretty poor low-light performance and even worse focusing control, but night scenes are so compelling. I mostly use Portra 400 because I love it so much but this very much makes me want to try 800.

It can be weird sometimes, but you just have to remember that a lot of people don't even take note of you taking a photo, and if they do, it's always a nice way to start a conversation

I really dig the style of this video. You could also just do commentary about some cars or sth in this setting and then cut towards pics/footage of the cars/parts, you're talking about.
