Please make more of these, I love your picture's they're aesthetically pleasing to the eye but can't always identify why. You breaking the shots down was super cool seeing how you process these.

I feel that for every photographer we make this decisions in our sub conscious. It’s interesting to break it down to each step.

I think your tree picture with the two tones; the left side with the warm sunset and the right side with the cold colours is definitely one of the best pictures I’ve seen recently. Love it.

LOVED THIS A LOT! thanks for empowering people like me to "take photos the way you want to" . Photography forums can be ultimately toxic with a lot of "seasoned" photographers dictating how a picture "SHOULD" look like. This on the other hand makes you feel otherwise. thanks for sharing!!!

Really like the shot at 11:10, it looks like something out of the 70s with the sign outside and the chair covers but then you see that the cars are more modern looking. That's pretty interesting to me.

Exquisite images, Willem. Thank you for sharing - been in a huge creative rut this year and the processes highlighted in this video definitely goes a long way in getting those creative juices flowing as I prep for a 4am photo-mission tomorrow morning. Big ups for the effort you put into your craft. Thanks for another year of inspiration and wishing you the best for the new year that approaches. Regards all the way from Johannesburg, South Africa.

I really loved the way you shaded the elements in the photos by blocking them with color, and visually making it easy to understand everything you were describing. Some great editing!!! I learned a ton about your style, and I found all the tips amazing. ❤️❤️❤️

I like to think of the rules such as the "thirds" as more of recommendations or starting points of composing, instead of strict rules. It can be very limiting to think everything has to follow the rules! And as you have shown you can create beautiful pieces while not following them. 💚

See I respect this point totally, and it’s what I say to my friends. But I’ve found that by sticking quite strictly to some limitations such as the rule of thirds I become more creative with my subjects. It’s almost like music and chord choices, some people produce so much more with 3 chords than those who use 100

I think that I’m drawn to Willem’s photos because he does such a good job of breaking the “rules”. In my opinion, the vast majority of people are not good enough photographers to break the “rules”, and should just use the rule of thirds or whatever rule you like and you’ll get a decent photo out of it. Willem is different because he has such a good photographic eye and can see these really cool compositions. Really fantastic video Willem!

I loved the video and the photos. I feel like you shouldve mentioned sub framing. I loved the fact that the photo you took in the car had the window in it, and that in the last photo the trees perfectly curved around the cross. I think I just get distracted easily and love when its easier to focus on the subject. Either way I look forward to seeing you post more.
