    Great video. Fixed a 2003 ford ranger with the same issue. Keep doing things the right way. Saved myself from stress and headaches. Thank you.

    I've a question if you don't have a bushing driver can you just find something with an appropriate diameter and press it out? Or it can damage the extension housing ?

    Hi Great video, loved it. Can you tell me where the oil comes from, Because when you remove the casing there is very little oil in there.

    Thanks guys. Mine was leaking, I replaced just the seal, not knowing better. Leaked again. Now I'll pull the tailhousing. It does seem like I have a bit of play on the output shaft. Is this indicative of other issues? Or just of the bad bushing? This is a "new race trans" that had already a bad valve body that I replaced. Saying maybe under 300-400 miles on this new build.

    Hey, so I have an 06 Chevy espress that's awd and the transfer case has been replaced once by previous owners but the tail bushing is bad now. The bushing and seal slid out of the housing. So does that mean I can replace the bushing? I know that the bushing is part of the case on the oem one. Thank you for all the help your videos already provided.

    So does the bushing cause a vibration on the rear end so I replaced my seal three times and I’m like why the hell does it still leak? I’ve noticed it splattering on my truck so now watching this video. I wonder if this is causing my issue also, I feel like I have a vibration but it’s more on the rear.

    Video shows bushing being installed and has oil groove in it...bushing needs to be installed correctly with oil groove in right position or it will fail again.

    If you're still don't have the boot it's the wrong one because the boot keeps the dirt off the slip yoke where it slides in and out and keeps the dirt from getting up there and tear up seal it's a wiper

    Barry Monroy the mount has the housing bolts half covered and there's no way to get a socket on the two bottom bolts to torque them . The tech should have torqued all the housing bolts then installed the tranny mount last ..

    Couple weeks ago I changed my ujoints and centre support hanger bearing now truck drives fine but is leaking and it makes a clunk shifting from park when parked on a hill would this be caused by a bad bushing? I noticed the output shaft I could wiggle by hand but didn't think anything of it at the time

    That clunk when you park in a hill is normal, just use the parking brake before putting the transmission in park.

    If those are bad will this cause vibration while driving and or slowing down or is that a torque converter because my truck vibrates when I'm driving or if I hit a small decline in the road it makes a vibrating noise

    Im glad u said that. I have a 1994 ford van that js leaking from this area. The mechanic changes that seal. And i drove an hour drive to miami. When i got back the problem happened again. He never mentioned it could have been something inside the housing. He did say rhe ujointsbwere bad. I hear them squeaking. Could that be the reason it keeps breaking the seal?

    If that bushing was wore out people that yoke would be chewed up where it rides on that bushing ...one time in 48 years of auto mechanic have I seen that bushing go bad

  • @ryanvivion854

    @ryanvivion854

    5 жыл бұрын

    It can be out of tolerance and not chew up the yoke. Just a bit of excessive play can load the seal and wear it out prematurely. The bushing is $7. Swap it.
