I rode the Dragon two days in a row, up and back two times each day. I also stayed at the Two Wheel Inn, which I highly recommend. My ride is a 2011 Super Glide. Like you, my pegs are seriously ground off on both sides. Used them as a feeler how far was safe for me to go over. Rode the Moonshiner trail each day also, it`s almost as good as the Dragon, maybe a little easier. From there, I went to the Blue Ridge and the Shenandoah, and then back down through Harlan county and back home to KC. Started off going down to the Natchez Trace and the Jack Daniels distillery and then to the Smoky Mountains before the Dragon. Rode 4,000 miles in 16 days by myself, I`m 70 years old and still love to ride.

OMG I need to go home and give my bike a hug. I realize when I see other Harley riders ride how hard my bike's getting ridden. If I scrape I just hang off the bike to be able to go faster. When I scrape while hanging off all I can I need more height.

I’ve always wanted to hit the Tail of the Dragon, I dunno if I’ll ever be able to go but I will be doing a road trip from Arizona to California to visit family in San Francisco and Mendocino and the ride the Cali coast up and then come back to AZ. It’ll be the longest ride I’ve ever taken and I’m most likely doing it solo on my Street Bob FXBB. I’ll need a front fairing and I’ll most likely strap everything to my Sissy Bar and tank bag that I’ll be getting from Biltwell, no saddles, just strapping it all down to the bar. Great videos of the road trip you fellas have put out, looks like you guys had a shitload of fun! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

My wife and I love riding the dragon, she’s got a ‘17 sportster 48, I ride a ‘17 dyna lowrider s. We make the trip from Ohio a couple times a year and ride the all that area. After taking those trips I like to think about what upgrades make the most sense for my dyna. After our last trip I’ve decided a higher clearance exhaust and an upgrade to my rear breaks are at the top of my list.

Just don't bring a dresser/bagger or you'll drag in every turn no matter how slow you go. There are only a few off camber turns but eye opening. Stay in your lane and ride inside the bike and rider limits.

I just rode from Tampa to the dragon on my lrs Sept 15-16. Looks like you guys kept it pretty chill. Really jeleous of those gauge setups, Im still stuck with factory tank gauges and its terrible to try and gauge speed coming into those tight corners, constantly moving my head down to read the daym gauges. There's a ton of other awesome roads in the area I think I ended up around 1760 miles from that trip and can't wait to put my new seat on now. I scraped almost every daym corner but I've got some hideously long pegs with those damn hero knobs things so it doesnt take much to touch them down. I got to the point where I was overleaning just to feel them rub.photos.app.goo.gl/smEQQbdgT5vvpWSF9 photos.app.goo.gl/WqEPw5myR5vv14hD8
