0:12. Watched and followed til got tired on next to last repeat of crane wings form. Then just watched that. Very much appreciate Master Pei's, calm, easy to follow explanations all the way from the beginning or TaiChi overview part. Demonstrations easy to follow, but looking at this on tablet (not big screen) I wished for easier way to see the left and right trousers when one crossed the other (point of view of audience). Would lighter color instead of black trousers make that easier to distinguish? Thank you very much for the care, clarity, and pace.

This video has helped me so much! I have always wanted to practice tai chi, but no places close to me. Master Pei moves so beautifully it inspires me to keep at this until I can move like him! I have seen improvements in my balance and muscle strength from just doing the warm ups and movements up to the ‘crane’. Can’t wait to move on to the next movements, but want to get better at these first. Thank you SO much for these videos!! ❤❤

I learned Tai Chi 25 years ago in Portland and wanted to regain that feeling I still remember while practicing and try to relearn. Now that I live in the countryside of Japan, there aren't any Tai Chi dojo within 85km of me. The warm up is so important and I had forgotten a lot of those, but this brought the memory back. A lot of other videos skip the warm up completely and don't explain why every moment is important and what small feelings you should be aware of, just like when you actually study from a master. This is the next best thing to taking it in person, because you are explaining it exactly how I remember. Thank you for sharing these.

Im sorry to hear you have parkinson disease. Im no expert but believe that this kind of training can help all who practice it. Can i also recommend for you to practice 30 minutes of diaphragmatic exercises and pelvic floor strength exercises 30 minutes a day. Then 30 minutes of silence meditation praticing grand circulation visulization. I know this is alot of time out of your day. But im sure if you can do this daily along with your taichi practice that it may help you. I hope and pray that you have time and strength to make this happen daily for 1 year. Then it will become part of your life and your effort will be little once it becomes part of you and who you are. May the heavens and mother heal you. Remember eating healthy natural foods help. 3 bowls equaling 3 to 4 cups per bowl of food per day is plenty. Good luck. I hope and pray we all learn to heal and strengthen our minds and lives.

I worked on adding one or two moves a day and always focused on the being smooth with what I learned. Today, I can do the entire Yang style 24 forms. Every morning, I do an hour or an hour and 15 minutes, warming up with some Qi Gong and then practising the my Tai Chi. Every day, it feels a bit smoother. I started doing tai chi a long time ago because i liked the way it looked, and liked the chinese uniform you wear with it, started doing it, they talked about chi, and holding the ball, and feeling a tingling feeling in your hands and in your body, i thought they were nuts! I said to myself ok, people are crazy. I started doing it, kept at it about 2 years. I started to feel it though! Tingling in my hands and that warmth all over and it grew! Maybe just because I was moving I was thinking. I just kept doing it, and breathe and do what they say, it was awesome. I was strong to, strong legs.

I live w unbelievable pain, for 14 years, most awful in my neck, up into my skull, my shoulders, upper back...it is never-ending, unrelenting pain..burning, nerve twinging at times, feel like a group mma dudes kicked and punched me all over, and even behind my eyeballs. I have to change, do something differently, act towards healing my body, temple that houses my Spirit.. So, I am going to give tai chi an honest try. You are the best I have found on youtube--thank you so much , friend.🌟🌟🙏🙏

Dear Master Chris Pei I am grateful and very grateful for your teaching My body (shoulder and left arm) has been hurting for 2 months, and apparently thank God I just followed your teaching last night...gradually during training my sore muscles and joints felt like they were back in the right place, and in the morning the pain really hurt. it's gone and I'm completely healed What I feel is healing is not only due to warming up and movement, but more because of the self-confidence that you instill through patience with soft words...also a friendly smile. I also seem to be able to feel the Chi flowing and directing it to the part of my body that hurts. Once again, thank you for your kindness and continue to do good, don't change... may the master always be in good health, body and soul, and always prosperous My best regards🙏

Thank you very much. I did really appreciate this video. It s the first youtube tai-chi lesson that I 've really easily understood so far. Explaining moves slowly and step by step, paying attention to details and mistakes will lead your followers to do well in this discipline. I am not coordinate and with no balance but I managed to not stop the lessons 100 of times as usually do. After half of the video, I was already so proud of myself and I felt an inner strong energy coming out of my body that exploded in tears of joy. I don t know how to explain properly what happened, but thank you again.

I took Tai Chi many years ago and fell in love with it. Busy life happened and I haven’t practiced in years. I was looking for a video to help refresh my memory. I looked at so many instruction videos but none of them worked for me. Too flashy or too “workout” like which isn’t anything like my experience with Tai Chi. I couldn’t get into any of them. This instructor was perfect at explaining the steps clearly and with the real spirit of Tai Chi in mind which I deeply appreciated. The movements came back to me almost immediately after 10 years. The way I learned had just a touch more flow to it but I don’t mind. His instructions are very clear for a video. Highly recommend!

After decades of hard style Budo, I need something now that is still combative in its origins but works in a non-ballistic method to increase stamina, flexibility, clam spirit and increased muscle tone as well. Essential at my age now. Well done Pei Sifu.

Greetings from Queensland, Australia. I just bought "Opening the Energy Gates of Your Body" for a friend who is a Qi Gong practitioner. I used to practice Tai Chi with different teachers and had a lot of disruptions, movement and travel and have only recently committed to resuming my practice. I looked up your name on the internet and am delighted to have the opportunity to learn from your videos. I want to understand the healing benefits of Tai Chi and Qi Gong as I was a nurse and a bodywork practitioner also. Thank you. You are doing the Tai Chi community a huge service.

There is a lot of good advice in this vid. My highest level teacher (I've had 11 over 40 years) said "Finish." That means relax at the conclusion of each posture change. That is when you open your joints so the energy can travel through the bones more freely. At his time you check your structure and alignment, and sink your chi into the ground (focus your mind on the soles of your feet.)

This is the best Tai Chi for beginners DVD I've come across. I'm a complete newbie and this teacher has such patience and such a calming voice that it is really pleasant to learn. It's a great program for people who lack coordination too as you have to go through multiple repetitions of the same moves. This is the only way to learn them. I'm now taking my training more seriously, sticking to Qi gong in the morning and Tai Chi in the afternoon. Just love it!

I ran the whole routine, for about 4 days now, paying attention 😊, and this is the first routine I haven't hurt something just with the warm up! I have no need for other instruction, I will follow only Master Pei now. Maybe in another year I can drop the "beginner" ! Inner peace, Anna
