Hi Kevin. Thanks for your great videos and clarity of instruction. Really enjoy these clips. One question as you do the forward stretch in the toyu, squaring the hips, aligning the need over the tip of the toe- great explanation. The extension with the arms, are the elbows locked or slightly flexed, when fully stretched.

Hi Ron Great question! This has come up recently with some other viewers and just to let you know, we will be addressing this question in next weeks video so stay tuned and maybe subscribe to our channel if you haven't already so you get it hot off the press ( its free). To answer you briefly however, the arms extend but do not lock. Locking the elbows creates a rigidity and tension in the arms which is counter productive to what the Tai Chi is meant to do. On the other hand, keeping them flexed does not allow the tendons to fully stretch which again is counter productive. Question is, can you fully straighten your arms, keep them relaxed and not lock the elbows? Play with it and watch for the next video! Cheers

Too long preamble. These days it is better to get straight to the point. Time is precious.
