Yeah, saying that $1500 is a reasonable price is very much being out of touch. It is certainly cheaper than a more expensive watch but parts for this thing are such a tiny percent of the price it is a rip-off. I am OK with expensive things and OK with cheap things, but ridiculous profit margins are just screwing your customer. Maybe some don't mind it and some enjoy it (because they like the brand so much). Some people will buy branded dog turds if the right brand's logo was put on it.

TAG was my first decent watch. In the late 90s I bought a TAG Kirium with a beautiful blue dial. 38mm quartz on a integrated bracelet. Loved that watch and wore it daily for 15 years as my only watch

I agree. Happy to see them back. I had been years since i looked there way. Last year with the release of the Glassbox i had to get one. I have had for over 1year now. For me it was an excellent addition. Revers Panda. May add my first Tag was a about 27 years ago a Kirium quartz that still ticks like new.

The black and white F1 with skeleton hands from around 2012 (WAH 1010) is great.

have one, first good watch and part of a family tradition... even though I have my criuques size wise, and the bracelet feels like a cuff (ben in normal/cold days) the watch is cool and amazing, its a never-sale to me

My immigrant father’s first watch was a tag after landing his first corporate job attending night school for a bachelors in the 90s. Rolex was for those who made it and TAG was for those working to get there

I am a big Tag Heuer fan, i have two F1 watches that i bought at the boutique in Amsterdam. Their customer service is second to none. Doesn't matter what price this Kith Heuer watch is, though, i can't buy it from the AD here even if i wanted to. So $1500 might be an accurate price. I do wonder what you think about the Rose Gold Skipper that they released this year. The AD put it on my wrist even though it is way beyond my budget, but what a stunning piece.

@TheoandHarris-Regarding the Breguet Video-That was great work and a great argument as to why Breguet should be considered as worthy, I also left a lengthy comment comparing its history and present state as not so far off from even the likes of Patek. Breguet was an engineer with watch makers and suppliers! Also, the recent Tag Heuer video is great, another very great argument as to why we should not ignore the brand; I do agree, release fater elease has been quite innovative and interesting. The solar graph is very interesting, skeleton Monza, glass box, skeleton Monaco and regular editions as well as a recent ratrapante developed with Parmigiani Fleurier

Picked up the new glass box panda. OMG this is going to catch on like wildfire. It's got it all: in house mvmt, 80 hours, 100 meters wr, thin case about 13.7, 20mm lug width, 39mm case. Now with a great bracelet option that sizes great. Keeps time well within cosc at about +3 or +4. Done. Compare with panda Daytona. Oh, and it has a date! Love it. Ordered a Skipper to boot. Have been all Rolex, GS, Omega, and IWC with sprinkles of other stuff. Looking at TAG again.

Gold 6000 is fire though. Thumbs up!

Ever since the Supreme x Louis Vuitton all most of the brands under LVMH have doing collaborations with streetwear brands. I think whomever is in charge understands how to get the younger crowd into their stuff now with these collaborations. My only beef is I wish they would of used a Tag Professional like the one I had back in 1999, which I left in Mexico on a Spring Break trip.

It’s fascinating that you may be the only person on this platform to think this is good value. These watches should have absolutely been price below 1k. This price is a bit egregious. When you really pull back the curtain it is clear paint by numbers collab that LVMH has done with brands like Supreme across their other brands they own. Drive hype to a new audience and cash in on that and push the brand in the wake of it. Although I dont doubt the owner of Kith’s passion for the watch and watches in general. He is great.

I picked up my Formula 1 Kith on the bracelet from a store in London on the launch day. I remember lusting after these as a kid in the 80’s and 90’s, so when it was announced I had to have one. The response from people that have seen it since I got it has been interesting. Lots of love for it, a couple of people have commented that they think it is too small, but I love that it is true to the original

Admittedly, I am not a moonswatch fan. Omega charged too much for a poorly engineered, ultimately disposable, product but, I get the business strategy. Tag doing this for $1,500 is ridiculous and I don’t get it at all. I thought Tag was headed in the correct direction but now I don’t know.

Rolex again sets the standard. Christian says that the watch world is in danger of losing its 'fun', but it's been a few years since Rolex released it's range of colourful OPs (+ the celebration dial), and of course the innovative Oysterflex adds a fun element in a different way as well.

I more agree with MWC on these Keith watches.

Hmm, the hard sell of the tag watch makes me ask myself internally, how can someone sell a product if they don't desire said product? Thanks to prior videos we know the types of watches you would want for yourself. the method of how you are selling the tag is the topical antithesis of the carriers and even swatches you own. I mean, I don't know the watch in person but visually it looks quality. So I ask myself once again how can you talk something up without wanting it for yourself?

CZ, T4YC. The F1 original was a huge deal back then. I remember it being worn particularly by posh boys in Fulham and Chelsea. It's definitely stood the test of time, as many are survivors. I think, for most people, there's now nothing wrong with a quality quartz movement. So buy a pre-owned, or if you're feeling flush, buy a Kith Heuer. BUT, obviously don't buy a MoonSwatch. Absolutely rubbish! And a implore you, don't buy a BlancSwatch. Perhaps the worst watch ever made.

I like these new Formula 1s, but I’d rather it were TAG Heuer branded & around $800. I think they’d sell a lot more! I love my old TAG Heuer 2000 auto. It was my first nice watch; I bought it new in ‘04. It still runs well (I had it serviced once in ‘18).

In what universe is this worth even half the asking price. Do I think it is a cool little watch absolutely, would I even consider buying one? Yes but at $500 max!! And thats Canadian $$$$

Great episode - I know you like BMW Christian, were you aware of the KITH M3/M4 collaboration?! Anyway - yeah that Hodinkee interview was cool, I especially liked his collection because he has the hulk and also the yellow gold green dial DD40 and I have both of those so it was extra fun for me to watch! I unfortunately have big 7.5 inch wrists so one of these fun tag watches might like silly on me but I’ll still be glad to buy one and try it out.. who knows it may end up working out fine 😅

For an extra $100 I took my MoonSwatch and had it modified into a steel case with sapphire crystal. That made my MoonSwatch $360. I think people would be crazy to pay $1500 for this Tag. Definitely not worth it.

TAG's just taking the piss IMO. It's not about having fun, this is just slapping a price tag so high just to see who's willing to get one. Sad thing is, this sets the precedence for future releases.

The watch is nice, but it's overpriced for what it is. Brands like Orient and Citizen offer soo much more for way less. It's a cool watch that's basically a money grab.

Why isn’t Theo wearing a suit and bow tie?

If Tag released the F1 without Kith at $500 it could have competed with the MoonSwatch in terms of revenue generated and cultural relevancy. Instead they put out a limited release that was snatched up by a handful of hypebeasts who will forget about the brand in a few months.

Playing devils advocate, it’s the same ilk as the Moonswatch, in that it’s specifically designed to drive hype behind a watch and brand. I understand that’s a horribly negative take on it, but I think there is a strong element at play here. Do I like the watch, sort of.

If they go over £1000 I will be very sad. I had 15 and sold 14 of them last year.

Absolute L take here. There are so many options for swiss mechanical at $1500.

You mentioned the limited release. There is no point in releasing a “fun” watch that has a limited release. “Fun watch” and “limited release” are fundamentally opposite. Also, this is worse than the Moonswatch because the Moonswatch fit thematically (there is no uniting theme here). The Moonswatches are collectible. These are just…there? Also, the price. $1,500? Are you nuts? That’s insulting. This is a huge misplay by TAG. These should be $700, mass produced, and readily available. I agree that TAG’s run lately is good, but this follows a theme of vastly overpricing their watches for what you get. And it’s a very concerning industry trend that will bite it in the ass (which we are already seeing on the secondary market). Overall, I completely disagree with your analysis. This is a misplay by TAG, and much worse than the Moonswatch. Fun watch. Bad everything else.

Guys I'm usually on Theo's side, all jokes aside, but really, usually on Chrisitans side, but not this time because EVERYONE decided to piss, diss, and crticize on the unlimited (but oerly hped) monswatch for 250 USD, now are praising the LIMITED F1 for 1500$, look watch wise, I do agree with Chrsitan is cool and funny and un-srious, and revival of a very retro and beautiful design, but the price, the availabiliy, and I'm pretty sure the scalpers (for both these and he older ones) just make it a no go, if it was between 600-850$, sure let's celebrate hell put a premium on the steel ones for 1000$, but as it is presented today its just the bad parts of the moonswatch in a more expensve package, hell I'd even say thesnobs moonswatch, with a fashion band atached to it, mind you given the price it'll definetly be better quality, they better be, but the point still remains

a real formula 1 from that era goes for 300-500 bucks. These Kith collabs go for 1500. ridiculous money grab from an unknown super expensive fashion "street wear" brand. But i will say Tag has been killing it with their own releases the past few years. the glassboxes, the skipper, the autvia flybacks. my first "luxury" watch was a tag formula 1 from my parents back in June 2016 as a birthday present when they were on a cruise, so the formula 1 has a special place in my heart. but a super marked up collab? hard pass. moonswatch for $270 all day over this. 1500 bux for a vintage-inspired collab, or pay 50 bucks less for the modern formula 1, or pay a thousand less and get an actual vintage F1.

Sorry, this seems like an advertisement to me. I’m sure you know that $1,500 is not a good price for a “fun” watch for most of us. It’s multiples of a Moonswatch. Its feels like you just ignored the criticism of the price and I’m left wondering why. I don’t certainly begrudge you making money, but the constant pitches during the video, the plugs for the watch shop, directing people to the Zero, and now a video that seems like an advertisement is getting too much. You can tell me to take a hike. It’s not like I’m paying you and you don’t owe me a thing. But, I’ve watched you for years and felt I owed you my honest input.

The Formula 1 was the first "Tag Heuer" watch after Tag bought Heuer. The co-branding of Tag with Heuer was lame as hell back then and now the co-branding of Kith, Tag, and Heuer is just as much of an abomination. What has Kith done to deserve their name on that watch besides be simply a "brand" label? You might as well put "Shop-Rite" on it. These should have been $450, tops.
