I was playing poker at a casino and saw someone next to me wearing this watch with the silver dial. I can tell you that it just looks absolutely stunning under the lights, very beautiful and handsome, luxurious looking piece. I couldn't help but kept staring. 😍

Yea...a lot of small changes made throughout the watch, but the adjustable clasp is what I'm trying to find out more about, but I can't find a single video that goes over it.

After wearing my Aquaracer for a month or two, it consistently runs -2 seconds per day. Pretty good for the generating before the watch you reviewed here.

I really like the design and dna Tag created for their aquaracer line. Angular, modern and masculine. However, does it have a pop-off caseback now? No one seems to be talking about that? Seems like a big deal on a 300m dive watch... and seems cheap. If they removed the cyclops and had a screw-on caseback it would be a bigger home-run.

Yes, a pity you didn't explain the new clasp extension mechanism. Very important for comfort.

What about the clasp? You didn't even review the micro adjust in the clasp. Its the most sought after change of the watch. The biggest change. Not one mention. Thanks for reviewing it but you missed the boat on this one.

Thanks for asking :) I figured micro adjustments in the clasp are so common nowadays that it's worth a mention if they don't have it. So yeah, it's good they made it standard as well 👍

@@WatchTheFreshFaces. Ah. Toolless micro adjust is not common. The only luxury divers that have it are Omega seamaster, planetocean, Rolex Sub and seadweller, Tudor Pelagos, Sea Q, and thats about it. Maybe a few others. You can count on one hand how many have it. It is very uncommon. Why you think it is common is perplexing? For example the Seamaster just got it recently. The Aquaracer never had it and it is the biggest change for the watch. Strange for a watch channel not to mention it in a review when it is the biggest change to the watch. A high level watch like the Breitling Superocean doesn't have it, and more than a few others. Just some advice, maybe do a longer more in depth review. 5 min is like a comercial. This Aquaracer is a very popular model and would get you a ton of views. Not trying to be too harsh, appreciate the review, but it was too short and missed the biggest change to the watch.

I love all your videos but could you tone down the background music a little? I feel it's too loud compared to the speaking voice. This is the first video where it's improved and it makes a big difference. Just my humble opinion.

I love this new release especially the 36mm for the ladies. But I think I don’t like the new cyclops lens. Is it just me?

Yeah love the waves on the dial on that one. Good to see they did a good effort for the 36mm version. You're not the first to complain about the lens though! Gotta say it didn't bother me allthough I would love to see it without a date as well

So the question is why not put in another 2000 and get the Seamaster which is the best diver below a submariner.

Fair question for the real enthousiast with a bit of money to spare. Seamaster is truly a great watch. Yet I guess for a lot of people 2k is quite a lot of money :)

Great review thanks. Love Tag as a brand and this looks fantastic. Would have preferred something other than a white date wheel, but I suppose it does match the other elements (white hour markers, bezel numbers)

This looks much better on video than on the image stills. Glad they ditched the horns on the bezel, plus the adjustable bracelet is a good upgrade.

First thing I thought of when I saw the new Tag Aquaracer is it’s getting a bit more original (instead of a Rolex Submariner copy) and also trying to catch Omega.

Indeed, but whereas Omega is getting a bit too shiny sometimes, this one keeps it a bit more understated. On the movement side, the Omega definitely wins though...

Omega upgraded seamaster 300 few years ago and it looked more expensive than prev version, here I do not see any added value, slightly different design like limitted version of prev watch. I expected more, mixed feelings now

Thanks for sharing your view! Understand what you mean - the Seamaster really has a lot of detailing that make it a fantastic luxury watch. I think with this design they still wanted to keep it a bit more understated. Could prove to be more timeless... Could :)

Looks really good. I just wish they made the minute hand longer so that it reaches all the way out to the edge of the dial. I hate short minute hands as it makes it really hard to set exactly when synchronizing with the atomic time.

Nice but reminds me of the new sea master 300.

Yeah tough choice between the two! Movement wise Omega is more interesting, but price wise...

I hope TAG Heuer keeps their lineup with non-coloured bezels. These new bezels steals the attention from the watch face. :(

Seamaster hommage? Naaah you're not giving the Seamaster the credits it deserves 😉 Kidding obviously! I think TAG did a good job not making this thing too shiny, a thing that Omega has not really felt like. But on the movement side however...

Same old movement, Calibre 5 automatic , 38 hrs power reserve. Even Tissot makes watches with 70 hrs of power reserve at a fraction of the price. It’s like putting out a new car with the same old engine from years before, not really “ new” is it? Just on the outside, the movement is now outdated in my opinion , but hey, for some it’s not that important....

watches are jewellery. Like Hublot and others, people buy the design and quality and/or the movement. The movement is a workhorse but Tag decided to spend money on the quality of the case and design. An inhouse movement would have doubled the price. I think this is a great decision. If you wear a watch every day, 38 hours or 80 hours makes no difference

What's all that nonsense about the clasp? Totally normal, even Certina has an adjustable clasp. Great watch though, very well done by TH

When the Aquaracer was launched in 2004/2005, the retail price was £700-900 for a sellita movement. The original design was akin to Rolex Yachtmaster but with its own Character. While this model is ok, £2800 is unacceptable for basically the same watch and movement without the Aquaracer classic design!

I have it, black one. Here are my thoughts so far: The watch feels so comfy, comapct and light at the same time. Absolutley premium in all the meanings, it is more slender and sofisticated, in my opinion, that previous ones. Bracelete and clasp makes the difference in terms of comfort. Superluminova works beatifully, I was walking the city in the evening and brights even when it is not the most dark. The black bezel gets beautiful color contrasts depending of the light (slate and silver grey). The movement is great for the price, and the new date position gives the watch a feeling of uniqness that it's being growing on me every time I check my wrist ;) I think this is one of the various fantastic watches to start with "premium" watches.

I wish it had at least 48hrs power reserve...😔 We get 38hrs again... Come on TAG Heuer...

Size is a thing yeah. Generally, I'm not into big watches at all. Allthough it didn't feel that big because of the slim profile! I'd say, definitely worth a try

I thought so initially, but man when I saw this peace at the AD I was sold immediately. Yes movement isn’t anything to write home about but the overall watch, the design, the material used it’s absolutely a gorgeous watch. I also heard Tag have sneakily upped the movement to a higher grade than before. So in conclusion the watch isn’t bad at all, although price could go down a tad lower.

Except for the cyclops it looks great. That said, I dislike the Sellita movement as I have had issue with them in the past. Also overpriced.

@@WatchTheFreshFaces Stopped running...twice. Had it in the shop 4 times. First time with an AD and the times at Tag itself. They even sent it to Switzerland. Garbage movement. Never had an issue with an ETA though.
