Taeyeon was in a singing academy attached to SM then she won a national singing competition arranged by SM (10,000:1 odds) and that's when she formally became a trainee. before that she only sang. she won in 2004 so that means she was a trainee for 3 years. fun fact, she sang a song with her vocal coach (The One) at 15 years old and she sounds absolutely insane. It's called "You Bring Me Joy" by The One feat. Taeyeon. She sang this even before she won the competition and at this point she was only training vocally for about a year. Despite this, she's often said to be the best student by the teachers of that academy.

Her "My Voice (Deluxe)" and "Purpose (Repackage)" albums are the most flawless albums in K-pop and honestly I love them more than INVU, which says a lot about their caliber, can't wait to see you react to more of Taeyeon, her discography is insane! I think starting from the beginning is definitely a great starting place to see her evolution.

Taeyeon is crowned as the “ost queen”. she sing for so many popular kdramas. In fact some of her osts are even more popular/overshadow the dramas itself.

she was a trainee for about 3 years & entered sm by winning a singing competition. also during the training period she was the number 1 female trainee ( for boys it was shinee jonghyun ) & basically during all training tests, she would come as number1 among the girls every time & was among the trainees that had fixed spot to debut. she is amazing

UR is indeed ost adjacent cause that's where SM like Taeyeon to go as well as the general public because of her successes in the ost dept but Taeyeon instead shocked everyone and released I. Solos at that time was either like hyuna/gain/sunmi (sexy) or go ballad like non kpop singers never alt rock sounding like she did I. Still back then the charting for UR and I were fighting for the #1 spot 😁

yeah.. another one 😅. For the past couple of days, 👑Taeyeon has been collecting YT reactors (via Killing Voice) as a new fan and most of them fall for her. Well, no complain here, there's already a long line anyway.
