Several voice teachers have noted Jimin does not use falsetto. He was the last to join the group, and as a dancer, not a vocalist. In the beginning he got no vocal training. And he had none prior. He would sit in on others' vocal lessons, then go practice on his own. So a good deal of his technique is home-grown. I think he's able to accomplish all he does with his voice because he has extraordinary muscular control as a result of the martial arts he studied for at least eight years before studying dance, then joining BTS. His martial arts skills and training are also a strong influence on his dance style, and part of what makes him unique as a performer throughout the worldwide entertainment industry

I would like to add to this and also agree with all the martial arts stuff - my fiancé and I started taking kickboxing just once a week for the last month and I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my singing capacity and stamina! Would highly recommended

I remember when most of them said Jimin doesn't sound like human when he did highnote on "Film out" and when Jimin does highnote on "old town road", they said it's electric guitars sound I'm crying.

Both these guys are really gifted. I love my Jimin "IT" man though.

Because of Jimin's unique timbre and tone honestly sometimes it's a bit hard for me to tell which register he uses, he has a lot of ambiguous placements breathy chest, mix, supported head voice? It's kinda hard to tell his passagios for me, and his vocal chords are so thin that the transitions are very seemless to me! His voice is so unique Thx for the reaction 💜

@@expressly_art6572 yes he sings ar the same pitch as Taeyang for the verse but it sounds much lighter and brighter and can give the inpression that it's up an octave when it's not! True

Because of Jimin’s vocal placement, he has stated that he has problems with the lower notes and the higher ones are really easy for him. Love this performance. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Tae Yang pronounced: Tay Yahng, is Kpop royalty from the band Big Bang, which debuted in 2006, and quickly rose to become legendary in Korea. Even BTS, arguably the biggest band in the history of the world, fanboys over these guys. Some of the members of BTS even wanted to become singers in the first place because of the guys from Big Bang. Very early in his career someone asked Jimin who his biggest musical influence was and he said Taeyang. So this collab is a giant flex.

I chose this song bc it showcases each of their vocals. Starts off with G Dragon, leader, high tone rapper, singer, song writer/producer to 90% of their songs. Unique voice, king of Kpop, Idol of Idols. Next you see Seungri, red jacket, vocals has an angelic voice. G Dragon (GD) usually gives him the bridge parts like Jimin of BTS. Taeyang that you saw for the first time in Vibe is the lead vocal and lead dancer. Daesong with the blue jacket is the lead vocal, the power voice. T.O.P with the green jacket is the low voice rapper. He writes all the lyrics for his parts. He is the first underground rapper that joined a Kpop group. After BB all newer groups followed suit by having a low voice rapper and a high voice rapper like GD and Top. Top beatboxes at the end of this song. Each member have successful solo careers. I think vibe is such a special track.. it is a collaboration between gen 1 producer teddy, from 1tym the band that inspired bang si hyuk to create the hip hop band BTS… 1tym debuted in 1998 under YG … after they disbanded teddy became a producer for YG.. most recently he took over the YG subsidiary, the black label. Taeyang debuted in 2006 as a vocalist and dancer with big bang, arguably the most influential gen 2 group and a great soloist in his own right.. Jimin, from gen 3, was influenced by Taeyang and has named him as his biggest inspiration. This beautiful song is historic.. love your reaction as always

Kpop is about to be wild and fun again because BigBang always chalenges the limits . Taeyang will release soon his 4th solo album . Rapper TOP joined a fly to the moon for inspiration artists project . His solo album may be released from space. GDragon anounced solo music for summer . GDragon is a God of creation and BigBang is the first group that made their own music . They gave idols the possiblility to be artists not just company puppets. It's like saying "ahhhh" when you encourage a child to open their mouth and eat. Sounds like TaeYAHNG, though spelled Taeyang.

When one uses head voice it makes it possible to go from there to chest voice, as opposed to singing falsetto. Also, not sure if you’re aware, but for the live they chose to go to a more relaxed r&b type laid back more mellower feel, then the Taeyang (feat. Jimin) Vibe MV, which I suggest you react to as well so you can compare notes on any differences vocally, aside from being more hype and they’re both dancing as well.
