Honestly this song hit on a deeper level then most music like this can. This is the type of topic you find in folk music or old ballads. Honestly it almost feels like he's singing about knowing someone from a distant past or his old self and recalling that he forgot himself or that other. Theres a quote i adore that goes, " Some of our memories are fragmented in time lost to be forgotten to the times/void. This is what i got from listening to this song and it hits on such a different note. I really love it like all his work. A true artist^^

Wow, I really liked the song on first listen, but seeing the lyrics, it's hitting different now. The idea of someone being so close to you, and yet eventually treating each other like strangers is so sad.

Taemin is just a gift from God because he is just so good to look at and his voice is just so soothing :)

He’s a GOOD person I wish Allah guides him...

Theres something so strangely haunting yet so relatable to this song! I feel like it just perfectly encapsulates the human experience of just existing and how we drift to and from people and how its not necessarily intended or a painful separation but that that somehow makes it even more painful in how unnoticed that person you shared all those memories with just slipped away and the gulf that has now appeared between you is often too big to cross despite how much of one another you still keep in the memories. Ugh idk I'm rambling I just think this is a very relatable and human song and it really hits home.

I don't think you are rambling, I find it to be a really beautiful comment. I had a very sad 2020 from January-March with the passing of the 3 most special people in my life. First of all my ex boyfriend Stephen passed away 2 days after the start of 2020 which left such a huge hole in my heart, then just over a month and a bit later my great aunt passed away and a month after that my grandpa passed away. I thought I had a hole in my heart but after experiencing the loss and pain, I now have a gigantic hole in my heart and it hasn't settled down yet either. Apart from all that my health is a bit like a rollercoaster going up and down LOL!! This is just a beautiful song and please forgive me for my rambling

This and clockwork are something I’ve never really heard before within kpop wow I love it ahh.

Maybe he is referring to his old innocent self. Before he met the person that made him lose his innocence. In criminal he says that " The moment I fall for you, is the end of my innocence". He became a criminal himsef. He also says that " My hands holding yours that stabbed me are not clean either". But i think that there is no such a person that changed him. He changed by himself. He discovered his inner self.

@@nm9688 yes, it was, but think of who Taemin is as a person. Imagine 19 year old taemin having his first "relationship" with a beautiful girl who's shy and sweet like he is. Do you really think him being the sensitive individual that he is that he really didn't catch feelings? I'm not saying it's this tragic love story like some people make it out to be, but just with who he is I can't believe there was zero sincerity. Plus, with Taemin's acting skills offstage.....

it’s a tough competition with taemin’s discography, but this song just might be my all time favorite bside of his. his artistry really shines on this track… the graceful, mysterious aura of Lee Taemin. his voice is especially haunting here. it captures the elegance of him so well. i only wish this song was longer. it had such title track material. as much as i love criminal (i mean, it’s my favorite taemin song of all time) this song could have definitely been my 2nd choice for a title track release or at least been promoted alongside the title track if it was extended a lil bit. but i do love this song as it is already- beautifully intriguing. his voice gave me chills the first time i heard it

my theory is that Taemin was impersonating sinning in Want and in Criminal he's getting a taste of his own medicine like it's karma ~ so in this album Taemin is being the victim
