Tactic play will win this for white!
Our pawn on h7 looks lost but if you use your tactic skills here you can still win as white!

The mating pattern is called Anastasia Mate. "The Mate of Anastasia" is named after the novel by Wilhelm Heinse (1746-1803) "Anastasia and the Game of Chess", which was first published in 1803. The principle is as follows: Pushing the king (often by a knight) into an orbit from which the king can no longer escape the threat of a rook. Mate by a rook. Kubbel maybe already knew Anastasia Mate.

@@Chess-strategy This study by Kubbel was the only one that was a bit more difficult in terms of the set-up and I couldn't memorise it. I had to go back to your KZread channel.... But I memorised the other studies you showed (position and solution). Because your contributions here are very memorable.
brilliant combination and tactics as always. Thank you very much
I couldn't imagine the solution.
Here we go again on the long road to perfection
Good one. Thanks for sharing
Real tough one! Gave up on it after some minutes, but valuable practice nonetheless!
I did see what was the best move, but I did not find any win. The mate along the a-file surely came as a surprise.
Very hard, very pretty.
After Rook C5 he will simply just take the rook even that he knows that he will be forked !! . Cause this variation of knight Vs 3 connect pawns is too hard and it consists of series of only-moves.

Why did not white took h7 pawn by his queen before getting block it by rook
