One of if not the best video of a Tacoma mod I’ve seen in four years. Very well done and no questions left unanswered. No wonder your channel is blowing up. Excellent.

Thank you 😊
Chloe you are awesome thanks for opening up this channel and supporting the Tacoma community 😀👍👏🙌
Great videos, direct and straight to the point. No fluff, thumping music, or bs. Much appreciated!
Chloe, you are literally the perfect channel for how I want to mod. Quality of life + a little styling but nothing crazy that I'd never want to do.
Awesome job! I wish I knew as much as you when it comes to electrical stuff! Thanks for the awesome videos and keep showing our beautiful county country scenery 😊
Stumbling upon your channel after getting a 3rd gen DCLB last week is the perfect fit! Love your reviews and howto’s! As a newbie to overlanding and off roading, it would be great to see a video where you reflect on your upgrades, and discuss what you would have done first. If you had any “off road regrets” that is! Keep up the awesome work!
Lots of great tips. Also, appreciate how you say what you're going to do then edit out actually doing it (eg. ""I'm going to thread the fitting onto the bullhead fitting." and switch to showing it done). Great Taco channel. Keep it up
Very well explained and great demonstration. Always enjoy seeing you add/install your mods.
I bought the arb compressor a few days ago and have been looking for mounting options, luckily i ran across this video, after watching I purchased the mount and used your discount code!!
Chloe I love your channel, your approach and passion is unparallel to other toyota tacoma channels. Also, love the content you go over. You are KILLIN IT! Keep it up

Thanks for another excellent video. … By far, this has been the BEST ARB DIY install I’ve come across. You are succinct, articulate and your follow through with commentary is on point. I’m sure your video edits add much to the presentation and install time. Truly, you get the Automotive Oscar for the Taco community. … I’m still an F150 guy! 😎❤️

Thanks! Got my compressor second hand so this helped a lot. I added nylon braided sleeve and a threaded waterproof cable gland through my firewall to avoid chafing + water intrusion resistant wire run instead of cutting into firewall boot (might want to add some closed cell expanding foam if you do). Great video and install !
Chloe, you are amazing! Thank you for your video. Look forward to installing my air compressor. I already ordered my seat jackers!
Very well thought out. Super clean install, even better video. Dang Chloe, you're killin it!

I really enjoy your videos. You explain everything clearly and make it easy for an old geek to follow.
You're killin me here. Mine hasn't even been delivered yet and your ideas are going to cost me a fortune. Keep them coming. :)
This video is great! It helped me setup my 97 tacoma with the same compressor. It also made the wiring part to the fuse panel pretty clear.
Thanks for the content I purchase the seat jackers after your review of them can't wait to install them.
Every time I watch her videos I want to spend more money

This is such an awesome mod, I just have my viair 300p i have to hookup to battery but it does the trick so far but man this is SUCH a CLEAAAAAN install !!!!! Sooo good ! Hope you’re having a great weekend my friend 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Dang super thorough and professionally done!! I just subbed to your channel! Sick content can't wait to see how your taco is going to look in a few years!!
Outstanding video. I was going to put this in the engine bay but stumbled upon the under the seat option which I like a lot more. And bonus, as you mentioned, I have a mobile radio head unit that I can mount to the plate as well. I started watching more of your videos and their excellent. Very very helpful for a new Tacoma owner like myself. Thank you for the excellent content!
Keep killing it Chloe 🤙🏻
Nice clean install! It was very satisfying to watch. I would consider moving the fuse closer to the battery though. If there is a short between the battery and the fuse... 🔥 🔥
Excellent content, I would recommend using some wire loom, in order to prevent chafing, and cut down on the risk of arching and possible fires.
Thanks for this video and all the links to the equipment you used! I just installed it in my 19 Tacoma, couldn’t have done it without your help!

Great video! I’m impressed with your installation skills and instructional on how you do everything! Thanks Chloe
Fantastic video! One of the best how-to vids I've ever seen for any product.
Chloe coming in with another awesome install video!!
Really clean install. Just a little advice, if you can move that compressor fuse in the engine bay it would be safer. Always better to have the fuse/breaker close to the source. If that power cable gets damaged it will short out and it wont be by the compressor. It’ll be closer to the firewall (prone to cutting and pinching) and because the fuse is by the compressor, that power cable will stay live when the fuse pops and could cause a fire. Also for easier cable routing you can just connect that ground wire with any existing bolts on the floor. 1 wire routed through firewall will leave you more room for future wires. If you can replace that fuse to a breaker as well it’ll make your life easier in the future. Other than that, really good install. 👍
Nice installation, very nice low profile modification. Good job and nice truck as always.
Thanks a lot for the video! I saw some interesting solutions to the compressor installation problem for me. Good luck!
love it best wiring detail video. super easy to follow keep up the great work.
Great video!!!!! Getting ready to get this done on my 2nd gen taco. Hopefully it comes out as cleans as yours did.
Sweeeeeet mod. Love that it's so clean! Keep rocking it!
Sweet installation ... waiting for a Tundra kit.
Chloe, you're awesome! Very intelligent and an excellent teacher! Great video!
Great Video found my way to your channel from Hoovies Garage and Watch JR Go, Love the content. Looking for my first Tacoma!
I'm falling in love with this channel 👌🏽🔥
Waiting on my Tacoma TRD Pro Lunar Rock and I want to do this mod. Great video!
Great job Chloe!!! This installation should have been right up your alley with all the electrical components 👍😀. Go big red!!! Ha ha! That’s a great idea installing the compressor under the seat. Cody must have been hyper again 🐕 🐶. Thanks again for the discount code 👍.

Cody will make an appearance in the next video 😊🐶
Excellent job! Thanks for your hard work and effort!!
Very well organized, and you covered most of the important aspects of this installation. Two additional points: 1. The two wires to the fuse panel that were lengthened each have an inline diode (shrink wrapped) which must not be removed when the wires are lengthened. 2. When the Red wire which goes to the Positive battery terminal is lengthened, the 40 amp inline fuse "should be located as close to the battery connection as possible. ...only lengthen the Red wire on the side of the fuse opposite to the battery." (from the ARB instructions) Making the connection this way will mean two splice connections for each wire (assuming you do the Red and Black (note that there are two Black ground wires in the harness), but will eliminate some 6+ feet of the wire harness from under the seat. (Makes more sense if you have the wiring harness in front of your eyes) I did ask ARB about using an established chassis ground inside the cab instead of running the ground wires all the way to the battery terminal. They recommend against that due to the high current load of the motor.

Thanks for these points! People who are installing this in the future will find this useful
Great idea, especially if you are out in the sticks. Genius!!!!! Thanks for sharing
This is a cool mod. You do tasteful stuff to your truck. I'm tempted to add a compressor now too.
Wow, another amazing clean video! 😍
Love it. Crushed it again! Im looking to this on mine soon too.
I just bought a 2019 Tacoma, and I have been bingeing your content. I enjoy your videos very much, and I am learning a lot. I am holding back on buy ALL the things until I actually do more camping and outdoorsy stuff. Can you do a video on beginning 4 wheeling?

Congrats on your new Tacoma! I’m a beginner myself and slowly upgrading as I learn. When I feel comfortable enough to give good off road advice, I’ll definitely make a video 😁
Excellent video! Very informative and easy to follow..
Nice install. I like to use a Western Union splice because it gives a mechanical strength to the wire splice. Next time you splice several wires try offset the splices from each other. I’ve found they come out beautifully so the wire bundle isn’t quite so bulky. The FAA CFR 43.13-1B section 11-167 has some cool info if you want to geek out over that, and NASA-STD-8739.4A around page 84 or so has some splices. Amazing job shooting the video. I appreciate the detail you go into.
Great format with the video. Very informative
Wow, I like this location way better than anything I've seen.
Your videos are so professional. Really enjoy them.
Nice job girl!! Love your rig!!
Another video very nicely done. Thank you for doing you. Please keep it up.
Thanks for the awesome video Chloe! Do you think it’d still be convenient if I install the rear air locker later and use this compressor instead of having another compressor for that?
great thorough install!
Great job on the install! 👍
This video was fantastic, thank you so much!
Just wanted to say that you are inspiring. It’s awesome to see another female doing all of these mods to their Tacoma. It makes me feel like I can do anything. I added bed lights to mine, and am now looking to add a compressor. Thank you!

Thank you, and great to hear from another female! You can totally do anything to your Tacoma-good luck and have fun modding 😊
Awesome job Chloe. Thanks!!!
Life saver Lady! Was wondering where to mount this since my supercharger reservoir takes up space under the hood.
Love new ideas, Chloe, keep it coming. Is there anything about towing? Break controllers?
@ChloeKuo

Thanks! I honestly don’t tow with mine, so I don’t need break controllers at the moment
Girl, you are genius, Interesting video!
Clean! Thanks for the inspiration.
Awesome video! very informative, thanks
Aloha Chloe🤙🏽. Do you have some sort of heat protect under the seat as an added safety precaution. I have the portable ARB Twin that I’m thinking of installing on passenger side. BTW.. love the content and channel! Keep up the great work!!
Sick mod! I’m going to try out a wireless air inflator for a bit first, before spending big on a dedicated compressor.
Great video. I love the way you explain each component and each step in detail. You should consider contacting various accessory manufacturer and do install video's for their products, (for a fee of course). A couple of comments on the wiring portion of your install from somebody who has done a whole bunch of stereo and electronics installs, mostly on boats and old cars which have sub-standard wiring brand new. Notice that Toyota put plastic ribbed sheathing to protect the factory wiring bundle as it runs under the carpeting. You REALLY should do the same as over time the wires can rub thru the sheathing at points where there is sharp edge contact and cause a short. There are superior sheathing options available to the factory plastic ribbed style. Just look on Amazon. Second comment has to do with your connection method of twisting the wires together and then soldering. As a few other comments have mentioned, it can be prone to failure down the road. I have utilized several methods that seem to work well over time but the most long term durable appears to me to be the NASA approved method. Check out other KZread video's to see how the method works. I have utilized that method exclusively for the last couple of years and is the only method I have found that consistently tests against the same length of unspliced wire for voltage drop. I have yet to see one of this style splice fail. As part of the same comment you should stagger your splices rather than have them right next to each other. Manufacturers can make this difficult because they will normally make wiring bundles terminate at the same length. Just nip about 2" from the ends of some so the splices do not lay against each other. The third comment would be for you to utilize zip ties every couple of feet so the wires stay bundled where the sheathing is not utilized. They also work real well at the end of the sheathing to keep it well attached to the wiring bundle. Long term zip ties do not come unraveled as electrical tape wrap can do. The fourth comment would be for you to twist each wiring pair together rather than simply having it run parallel. Real simple to do. Take your electric drill and clamp the wire ends into the chuck and turn it on low so the wires get twisted together for the entire length. Just practical stuff to make a professional quality end product.

Excellent video great ideas can't wait my Taco
Great looking taco you got there
That’s very cool. Well done 👍🏻
Well nice definitely adding the neat tool
Your production is so good lol
Great idea and great video. Really glad I found your channel cause I fall into the same tacoma demographic you do haha- namely, person who uses the truck as a daily driver but takes it off road recreationally. So many of the channels focus on more "extreme" modifications that are a bit unnecessary (and expensive) for me. Yours are super practical and attainable. Also, funny compliment, but I know from experience (doing a lot of zoom meetings) how odd it can feel speaking into a camera, but your delivery is natural and eye contact exemplary, lol. Keep up the good work :)

So awesome!!
Great job like all the info know I can do it my self
Just a suggestion...If you disconnect wire connectors, you should mention the required technique needed, as some of those can be tricky, especially so when you can't see what you are doing. I like the hack, may look into it. Also, just an FYI, old school offroaders would use their tubular bumpers to hold air for emergencies. They would add a quick disconnect to the tubing and pressurize for later use...Kind of a cool hack. Quick pointer on soldering, clean tip obviously, but add the solder to tip first and you will find that the heat transfer to the wires is almost instantaneous for very quick soldering and less chance of overheating the wire insulation as well.
Love your videos.
@5:36 that song transition is fire!
great mounting solution but I don't think I can use this with my oem audio kit, but I really like this mount
Great Vlog!
I think you need to add a inline fuse on the power wire connected to the battery. I know I saw the fuse near the compressor but I think it is recommended to add a fuse less than 12 inches from the positive battery terminal. I could be wrong but you may want to look in to it. I wouldn’t want you to have an electrical fire.
Very nice job 👍🏼
Your installation is as sweet as you are impressive be blessed great job
Awesome video!
job well done . i will have questions.,,,, love your teaching abilities
Great video, thank you.
Excellent solar technique.
Never even occurred to me to mount a compressor under the seat. I think that’s brilliant! Making use of otherwise wasted space. For me though that would be a no go considering I have air lockers and it would annoy the hell out of me when it activates and dumps out the air.
Great product. Buy it!
Awesome video! But always good to use teflon tape on air fittings!
Great set up. Great video. What are pros and cons of running this inside the truck.
@ChloeKuo
3 жыл бұрын
I’d say that biggest pros are easy access and protection from the elements. Cons are that the wiring is more difficult and some people may not like that you have to raise the seat. I think it all comes down to preference 🙂
Amazing video as always! I do have a question for you if you're able to answer. For someone not great with wiring, would this install be a bit out of reach? Also, do you know if this works with power/heated seats? Not sure if there is more stuff in them that fills in that space. Thank you as always!
@ChloeKuo
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I think this install would be doable for anyone, so long as they have the patience and time. Often times when I do an install that I think is a little out of my reach, I have a friend's phone number on hand in case I need to call for some help or some tips. In terms of this working with power seats and heated seats, yes this install works! However, I think it only works on the passenger side, not the driver's side.
Milwaukee has a portable air compressor. Since I don’t off road daily, I only carry it during trail days.
Chloe you're bad asss!
