It's likely an abcess. So many more things get uncovered in these cleanings that need attention. Unsurprising but probably very easily fixable if the owner finds someone to look at the cat.

@adirondackErin I am not Criticising Barbie in anyway in fact, I think she’s fantastic it’s just seems that most of those apartments are not fit for any human to live in. If this was a third world country you would be saying the same thing. Barbie works so hard and so hard on our channel I feel at this stage it’s beyond antibodies reach to House people In those apartments would you live in it? Sorry Barbie, but the truth is after you finished Landlords will not help and nobody will follow up to take care of this person. It’s sad and no reflection on you have been watching you from the beginning. But If you go back to any of them.apartments I’m sure they’re the same way if not worse sometimes you just have to say no as I said you are one hell of a woman your energy your love for your job and your passion to help others. Sometimes it outweighs the good from the bad. Hopefully to get your numbers up. You might try someone with not such a disastrous situation. Don’t mean to be hurtful. I know everybody has to live and live with some kind of Hella in our lives.

Barbie, if I was a neighbour there and you asked me, I would offer to take away their garbage every day. If she has anxiety, taking the garbage outside is too hard. Maybe someone would be willing to help? It's good for everyone in the building if the garbage goes out.

When people accuse you of throwing good stuff away they should realize how contaminated everything is and has long passed the opportunity to be cleaned properly to be fit for human use!

I'll say it once and say it again. We need more people in this country with your kindness and understanding. Thank you for what you do Barbie! Changing people's lives one home at a time.

You know, the one thing that I love about you, Barbie. Is that when you go into a place like this? You don't show disgust. You don't show anything but compassion for these people. And that's what I love about you. You have such a big heart and you are there to help. You're not judging you don't judge these people. All you want to do is to help these people get better and for that. I highly respect you. I have been a professional cleaner for over 20 years. And even though I don't go in and do the capacity that you do. I'm going to houses that are already set up and ready to clean. But I have been in homes where I have had to deal. With things like this and it is hard. It's very hard to do. It's not an easy job at all, but it is a rewarding job. When you are able to help someone so for that I respect you so much.

I have shoveled a lot of snow, most people don't know that snow weighs about 30 pounds per cubic foot. After, shoveling a very large driveway, you have muscles that you didn't even know that you had, will begin hurting. I can't understand how you work so very hard for so very long. You go home and take care of your family. You come back to continue working to finish the work. Anyone who has anything negative to say about your work ethics, work experience and knowledge, should just go pound salt. Your care, respect and willingness to help others to have a new start, keep them from being evicted, or have a safe, healthy, clean and comfortable place to live. Biohazard cleanups for homes this size ran from 18 to 20 thousand dollars each 10 years ago, which is what estates paid for the cleanup of deceased family members' homes like this one in order to sell them. None of the homes were perfect after the cleanup. There was usually a lot of damage exposed afterwards, and some homes had to be demolished. The cleanup crews consisted of 3 to 6 people over several days. Barbie is doing all of this while wearing a respirator. I can only imagine how exhausted she feels. Her poor back. Good work, Barbie!

I think people who want you to wash all the clothes don't understand the realities of NYC. There's no laundry or elevator in that building, which means all laundry has to be physically carried down the street to a coin laundromat (finding street parking would take so much longer than walking), wait 30 mins for the machine, change to the dryers, wait another 45 minutes, carry it all back upstairs. And if there aren't enough open machines to wash all of it at once you have to wait more. And if one trip through the laundry isn't enough to clean it .... repeat. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I can’t understand why people complain about you not saving enough stuff in such hard conditions. First of all you explained the reasons very well and second of all these cleanings would cost thousands of dollars and you do it for free. Still people are complaining. If you want to complain, try doing it yourself. Love your work and keep up the positive vibes ❤

It always fascinates me how a petite person like you has the power to move all those masses of garbage! That is a hard labor job! Often people need that push to be able to function in their living spaces again, so they can start taking care of themselves and their homes. The reason this channel has my respect, is that she always helps the animals in some way. If she sees a kitty box that needs cleaned or pet beds that need cleaned , she always takes care of it. I appreciate that she helps the adults, but the animals and children have no choices and she always pays attention to them as well. What an amazing clean up job!! Barbie you are a true hero! In regards to reporting families, I looked up the New York state regulations and house cleaners are NOT on the list of mandated reporters. So Barbie is not obligated to report to the authorities, unless she feels it is necessary. Providing practical help is what is desperately needed and that is what Barbie provides.

This incessant need of some audience members to demand Barbie report these families is just going to make people not accept the help. These people need help. Not judgement. As always, I'm amazed at how hard working and empathetic you are. You never fail. Almost all your of your cleaning videos are extreme conditions. I don't know of another channel that does this back to back.

I can't believe the progress you made in three days. My great aunts had a house that looked like this, and it took 13 of us to get through a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room in two days. So that you got as much done as you did is great!

Barbie, you are doing so many great things for New Yorkers! I think you should forget the shovel, it hurts the lower back, I like how you go through the trash and look for money, you can't really do that with a shovel. You keep doing what you're doing! Don't listen to negative feedback, unless they are giving you advice on your charity work. I don't see them cleaning your homes, lol. Also, I cleaned for older people in my church as a teenager, and seeing their faces so happy made me love doing it! I love your channel!

I noticed the cat too. I hope its been to see a vet. Nearly every time i watch one of your videos Barbie, I think that must be the worst apartment but I think this one must be it. Mental illness can't be cured with a clean home but it must go a long way to alleviating the anxiety this mum has suffered. I totally agree about reporting people. Living in filthy homes is not a crime, and separating families does more harm than good. Unless there is a real risk of harm or imminent danger, I totally agree that trust is crucial for giving the help these people need. Cant wait for the follow up next week!

Living in filthy homes is not a crime but forcing your children to live in a mouse infested dump is. You can call it whatever you want, "breaking up a family," but ultimately if you do not call CPS you are complicit in their neglect. There is a reason why teachers are legally required to call child protective services every time something suspicious comes up. It's because kids deserve a safe home, and if a safe home is one separate from a neglectful parent, then so be it. Living in a biohazard like this is, in itself, immediate danger.

Barbie! You are a hero to these people! Before I had a self cleaning oven , I use to put the racks in the bathtub,, cover with hot water and sprinkle baking soap over top,, leave over night ,, they become new again when you wipe them the next day,💕💕

I saw at least two books on cleaning and tidying end up in your snow shovel. Its ironic. You can see the intention was there to do something about it though, just taking the initiative to do it is the hardest part.

😊Just yesterday I watched your video that you posted about a year ago talking about how you had failed because the bugs were just too much. I am just freaking amazed at how far you have come in the sizes and conditions of the jobs that you now conquer!!!😊

The amount of work you did was phenomenal. That place would've needed a team of cleaners to get all that trash out. And they probably would be in hazmat suits because lord only knows what type of bugs, mites etc would be in that stuff. But, you guys did a great job cause that was crazy!

Just wow! What a powerhouse you are to be able to get after that! There are a limited amount of teams that can tackle that, and here you are. All 5 feet of you doing a team amount of work. You are mentally and physically incredible combined with empathetic. It’s quite an amazing combo

No wonder they struggled to get the garbage out, that's a serious walk 😮....I love seeing the progress made, I don't need every video to end with Pinterest perfection, but I do look forward to seeing the final result.Great job and content as always ❤

Don't feel bad for not finishing, it was still an amazing transformation seeing so much of the apartment cleared. All the garbage did not accumulate in three days, but you managed to remove so much of it in that time alone. I'm looking forward to the next part.

Seen all that trash in bags on the street is really satisfying! I know I don't need sparkly results every time. Just seeing what you do is amazing!!
