Hi there i am running a 17ft bass boat with a 150hp mercury pro xs and just wanted to know if a jack plate would help with chine walking ?? Also would hydrofoils also help , i am in south africa and purchased a brand new boat that chine walks from 80kmph 😢

trim plate (aka Jack plate) will help a lot. The placement of prop in water compared to boat in water is one of the biggest reason you Chine Walk. Plates will help too smooth our ride and help a lot with the boat lean the prop makes as it spins one direction.

this depends on boat size, depth of boat in water, if windy and wavey, ect.. Usually all the way down and trimmed down. This will get you power right off the start line and get you over the crazy starting line waves.

Notice you also have Trim Tabs….could you talk about them
