Small Island Big Song is a music, film, live project featuring musicians across 16 island nations of the Pacific and Indian Oceans, creating a contemporary and relevant musical statement of a region in the frontline of cultural and environmental challenges.
Luc of the Tahitian duo Vaiteani wrote TA'U TAMA over his concerns for the world we are passing onto future generations.

Je viens d'écouter "Sous les feuillages des tropiques un documentaire qui parle uniquement des forêts dans l'émission Le temps d'un bivouac sur France Inter, que je conseille à tous les amoureux des forêts et de la Terre. A la fin de l'émission ce morceau de musique est apparu comme par miracle, un océan de douceur et de profondeur à n'en pas douter et qui me parle sans en comprendre un mot. Dès les premières notes la nostalgie s'est emparée de tout mon être avec une pluie de larmes. Le monde des îles, des peuples premiers, du Pacifique manquent tellement à mes pas. Et je suis venue ici pour la réécouter. Envie de retrouver mon île tout là-bas, my home : Aotearoa 🙏🌏
