I started using the multi distro u show at the end, and it's EXCELLENT!!!!
I absolutely love your presentation’s as you explain everything in great detail. And this this makes a purchase choice much easier to pick. This way you know exactly what to purchase and it’s quality and the proper way to use it. Thanks for sharing your expertise and being the best car stereo installation instructor on You tube.
Tspec is a cool brand. I've always loved their blacked out terminals and other parts when they were first released a while ago. And a big fan of their newer all in one distribution block. It's has ground, power, and remote turn on distribution with a relay to boost the signal and even diagnostic leds. So cool! I'll be using 2 of them!!
Split Tip Pro Tip brought to you by Ronco
Metra has always made a good product. Their T-Spec line is no exception.
Love their fuse holders and distro blocks, they feel so much better made than most brands. Still like using knukoncepz wires though.
these are nice
Downside to the T-Spec, to me, is the three foot ground cable. If you're needing to run grpund back to the battery you will have the added expense of looking for another full length piece. Unless T-Spec has full length versions of this kit... Off to check their website. (Edit: Nope. Looks like they have four kits, these three and a Big 3 kit. You can get 50 ft and up spools of cable from the same line. Good if you are an installer, wasted expense if you're a hobbyist.)

No diy kit has a 20ft ground cable. So what exactly is your rant?

@@ricardomolina4605 Not so much a rant as a criticism. As more and more vehicles use aluminum in their chassis design, 3ft groumd cables are less and less useful. Yes, you can find a factory ground point and tie in there, if there is one within 3ft of where you want to mount your amp(s). Though if you tie a 0 gauge to a factory ground point that then runs a 6 gauge to the battery, current gets throttled some negating the benefit of using 0 gauge. Even Dean has said in previous videos that he prefers to run his ground back to the battery when dealing with aluminum chassis design. It seems when dealing with such an encompassing entity like Metra that they would provide full run options.
Another case of shoving differential RCA in a kit when amps need shielded. You should only use twisted RCA in class A amps.
Very nice
Nice
Wearing long sleeves, must have been cold, like 65°
Better than THHN wire. Anyway, I don't like getting power wire that is already connectorized. I need 3 pairs of RCA cables. Not sure if my recent install has the split tip but it'll be easy enough to check - not too worried about that.
Great video Dean what was the website for the tspec amp kits
Hello, don't seem to be able to locate the wire strippers used in this video in your tool drawer, are you able to link to them?
Does anyone make a full length amp kit for f150 power and ground from battery to amp?
I’m always surprised to see you using retail wiring kits instead of bulk spools and whatever RCAs you need for the moment. Wouldn’t it be a lot more economical and produce a lot less waste?

Easier to price a quote for customer install.
Whats the retail price on them?
Where can I order that exact 8 gauge T-Spec Kit?
0g fork terminal??? thats a first 4 me.
Is it me or is $99 for a 4gauge OFC kit a bit much?! I believe it was a series 10.

Have you not seen the prices of anything in stores or online? Food, gas, clothing, shoes, taxi fare, electronics and any other consumables are through the roof since the pandemic. Have you been living under a rock?

@@ricardomolina4605 It's obvious, you don't get out and shop around. Maybe your still at home , wearing masks and ordering everything online. Look, if you want to pay more then that's your business, I'm saying there are many other brands of OFC wiring kits for less. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
