T.R.Y. | Chair Yoga for Lower Back and Hip Pain | Alleviate pain! Increase strength and mobility 🙌🏾

This sequence will ba game changer if you are experiencing lower back and hip pain!!
The practice balances strength 💪, mobility, and relaxation in order to help achieve what we're all after. Peaceful mind, and peaceful body.
Sequence begins seated with some pelvic tilts, into some spinal mobility, and moving into seated hip mobility (leg lifts, out and in with the knee, and leg circles).
Then we stand up for standing hip circles and optional standing and sitting . (Alternatives are provided.)
We do the rest seated, releasing the front of the hip sitting sideways in the chair, and then some passive side and back stretching with different leg positions.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Just a chair! Ideally so that your thighs are level and your feet are on the ground flat.
Keep in mind, to fully maintain and experience the benefits of this practice, you need to incorporate it into your schedule regularly, (2-5 days a week).
Remember to listen to your body!
Some days, we need rest.
Some days, we can push ourselves to try something more challenging.
We can improve regardless of age or initial ability.
Let go of any part of you that doesn't believe that!

    Aren't they? Such an amazing way to access the benefits of lunge (psoas, hip flexor, back release, etc) for most people! So happy you appreciate it:)

    Thank you Tessa, your videos are excellent and help me so much. I've been practicing for 9 years and I have a lot wrong with my spine. I've been in 2 accidents in the space of 6 months while on public transport. It's really knocked my confidence because of the increase in pain. I've progressed from bed yoga to chair yoga and feel I'm getting closer to being back on my mat. I'm on a journey to become a yoga teacher and this is a temporary set back! I'll get the theory done and the practice will follow. Love and light 🧘🏼‍♀️ 💜
