Been following these guys since Eric the Red and this is definitely Tyr's opus. None stop thrills and emotions from start to finish. Metal and epic don't begin to describe this album. Well done chaps. Well bloody done.

Sorry but how far to asgaard is an impossible masterpiece. I’ll say though on a technical level this one is pretty good, but asgaard is an artistic phenomenon.

I'm a huge Týr and have followed the progress of this album for the past year. I love reading through the comments, especially those just discovering this band. Týr is an amazing band. You know an album is as good as it can get when you see how many people have different favorite songs. Personally my favorite is "Songs of War". Not a bad song on the whole album and they are all equally as good. Very, very rarely do I find an album where I like every single song. This is that rare exception.

I have a different favorite, Down hill Drunk of all songs. Opening riff on first song is the most killer I've heard for years though

I didn't expect those growls in "Gates of Hel." I like it.

This is great! I am yet to listen to the full album. But I waited a VERY long time to return to their good old days of Eric the Red and Ragnarok (imo their best albums EVER).

1st time hearing: hmmm that first song isn't that good /: (I prefer especially the Faroese songs more) 2nd time hearing: YOUUUUUU'LL TAKE THE HIGH ROAD, IIIIIII'LL TAKE THE LOW ROAD

Holy shit, that's on this album! I haven't listened yet, haven't had the time, but I saw Tyr live last year and couldn't find the song anywhere online (well, not the Tyr version anyway - it's apparently an old folk song). No wonder - I heard it before it came out on the album!

FINALLY!!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 THE DAY HAS COME! *Edit: after full in depth listening to the whole album.* K. So this was a masterpiece from start to finish. *flawless victory*. I looked forward to this already. But you guys blew my expectations out of the water! Gates of Hel is a very strong start to the album. Heri just proves himself as a fucking incredible and versatile vocalist and his voice really rings in this album! Boy how I've missed heri's glorious vocals!!! 😭😭😭 The guitars thru the whole album are fucking SUBLIME. The solos are very well composed and just add so much power to every single song. The whole album flowed very nicely. The chorale were flawless and well blended as always! The songs they presented to us before the release of the album were great but they did not even show the entirety of the glory of this album. I fucking LOVE Songs of War, Gates of Hel, Empire of the North, and Alvur Kongur the best. Those songs to me really dug deep and showed just how freaking amazing tyr is. This album is worth the money. Will be buying a physical copy AND a shirt. Tyr never disappoints. I wanna go more into detail on this album, but if I did, I would write a fucking novel... Seriously, guys. Great job and congrats on a release well done! I knew you guys were saving the best for last! 10/10 for the fact that you can totally tell this album had a TON of effort put into it and for the fact that the wait was worth it. Well worth it! As I said before in a previous video, good music takes time. And you all took your time and gave us an explosion of awesome 🎆♥️🤘!

Not seeing Terji live with Tyr going to be hard to get use to.

2019's going to be a great year for music. I've been looking forward to this album since it was available for pre-order. Since then, six other bands I listen to have announced new albums later this year. All the more reason to keep waking up!

First time hearing this band. They're so easy and satisfying to listen too.

Mega coole Band.Tyr. Sehr cooles Album Tyr Hel.

Empire of the North is my favorite song on the album. Easily the best combination of new heavy 7-stringed action with great, fast, melodic guitar runs and vocals.

Seems to be a trend with Týr; saving the best 'til last. The album was full of highlights and I was struggling to pick a favourite until Álvur Kongur came along: Epic!. Empire of the North is awesome too, possibly their heaviest song yet.

Tyr May have released the CD of 2019 here. I’m glad I have pre-ordered the Hel box set. Just listening to this I know I’ve made the right choice. Tyr never disappoints. Having already cranked Ragnar Kvaedi and Fire And Flame on KZread I’m loving this. Greetings from Australia.

I had to wait longer than hell, but it's good the waiting. This album is growing fast with the melodies and lyrics. I love as hell Faroese Kvaedi book. Alvur Kongur is one of faroese legends.

The first time I heard this band and heard the frist song I feel in love with it I aplutley love this type of metal rock on Tyr

Meiner Meinung nach die führende Viking Metal Band, nicht nur, weil sie die traditionellen Volkslieder uminterpretieren, sondern, weil sie ihren sehr markanten und unverkennbaren sound haben. Sie sind ein reines Alleinstellungsmerkmal und das rechne ich ihnen sehr hoch an. Zudem ist dieses Album voll an technischen Raffinessen. Virtuos und melodisch und trotzdem sehr treibend und kraftvoll.

Great album!

Best album since Valkyrja! Love all the songs...no skips... especially love Gates of Hell, All Heroes Fall, King of Flame, and Against the Gods. Those are 10 out of 10 for me, the rest 9 out of 10, Fire and Flame and Downhill Drunk maybe 8.5, but I'm just blown away by the whole album. It's my driving/racing soundtrack now.

Same release day as Hexed by COB. They did a tour together as well. Today is a good day!

Gates Of Hel was a great album opener. This album is my intro to Tyr and that song got me instantly hooked, great content.

Holy Fuck that Empire of the North riff!!! Ever since Rage of the Skulgaffer this has been one of my favorite bands and I'm so stoked they've managed to get even more metal and badass. Guitars sound more like Dethklok on this album and i fucking love it.

Best Tyr Album EVER imho. I hope we get a play through on each track.

Never heard of this band, but they rock. Sure glad I subscribed to Metal Blade's channel and took a listen to some of the bands they signed. 👏

The lead melody on Alvur Konger is phenomenal. I left that song on repeat for a few hours because I couldn't get enough of it. I cant wait for guitar tabs from any tracks off this album, but Alver Konger especially.

It is a master peice...!!! I Love It. Virkings from the Nordic, plays the best Metal.!!! ( Det er sgu da total fed Metal musik og Jim Meisler elsker det...!!! )
