Everybody else shows random footage of trains going by. You give us a documentary. Bravo!! Well done.

20:18 What a special catch! 2 black CIT 'CEFX' switchers, that’s what we saw today!
I went to Altoona back in October and it is truly a wonderful place to railfan. I saw lot of ns dash 9s that are waiting to be, or are rebuilt, ns 1074 and 1801, and a rare c39-8e. Also saw some ns sd40-3s before their bodies and cabs were installed. Also saw locomotives from wrecks like ns 1832 and ns 6997. High hoods, a csx, and many more!
AC. You have the voice that. is easy Ito listen. and as you describe what we are watching it all works nicely sincroniseed well. thanks AC
A fantastic vid, Bro! Seeing the Juniata shops is a real treat for any foamer. Great catch on the NS exec F unit. Those SD70ACUs are very fancy, I saw one a couple months ago down here, but didn't get to film it. Thanks for sharing AC!

Great news! The two f units are saved by the Reading & Northern Railroad in Pennsylvania and the other 2 are saved by the Aberdeen, Carolina and Western Railroad in North Carolina. Which means they’re both separately saved to both tourist railroads and to be used for excursions too!
My hometown! Thank you for sharing.
Great video, and a lot of stuff covered. Old video but worth its weight in gold.
Thank you for showing those historical videos. Excellent video AC. I really enjoyed watching.

The 2 F Units are now at the R&N in Pennsylvania while the other 2 are now in the Aberdeen, Carolina and Western Railroad in North Carolina as well. They’re both separately saved to both tourist railroads just to be safe and preserved for excursions too!

Thanks Guys.
Took me a while to sit down long enough for this one AC, but it was well worth waiting for! As for Photobomb Frank, I am my own worst enemy. I have one video posted and darned if I didn't do the same thing. My girl does my filming for me and I seem to get my "Ugly Mug" in the way most of the time somehow. Anyway, thanks for the great shots, wonderful information, and of course the links to the videos that you added. Also, I love the way you incorporated those vids into your production. I must say, "Excellence at it's best". Thanks brother! Cheers, Dan

We had your snow last night. Dumped 2 more inches. Temps will struggle to get to +15 this afternoon... We have some wind... the WX Services says wind chill will be -5 to -10. Only 60 more days till spring. It can't come too soon! Some sort of warm up to the 40's later this week.

Just a local-yokel tip... DeGol is pronounced "Dee-GALL" :) also, the old Hollidaysburg car shop railroad re/build work you see is from Curry Rail, which is a part of Central Hydraulics/Curry Supply, another local business. It has no relation to the DeGol organization, except that it shares a building with the DeGol Lumber yard and 7-D Window Manufacturing. Great video, otherwise!!! I love to see people exploring my stomping grounds!!
@Trains21

Thanks for the kind words but I never implied that Degol and Curry Rail were connected.. Never seeing the name before, I took a humorous guess.. Wasn't intended to be taken seriously but I do appreciate you giving me the correct pronunciation.

Trains21 no worries! Just an observation from a friend. I work with both companies and as an alumna of Saint Francis University, where the DeGol family has a prominent connection/presence, it's in the fiber of the Altoona area. My young boys LOVE watching your videos... keep up the excellent work!! (And if you ever need anything in the Altoona/Cresson area, I'm willing to lend a hand where I can!)
