The turret also completely unmanned so it doesn’t really matter. It’s the first MBT to keep the crew comepletely separate from all the possible explosive internals

Change in soviet combat doctrine, I think. Americans made the Abrahams because they believed if a war in Europe broke out they'd need to transport alot of tanks, so they wanted a more heavy/brawler esque tank that could easily withstand anything in its path, instead of carrying a dozen of tanks with weaker turret. The soviets were ofcourse not worried about transportation hence used more tinier tanks w/autoloaders to increase firepower. But now the tides have turned interms of soviet doctrine.

If there was the USSR, these tanks were already in service with Arab countries, possibly and China! How many years has Russia been testing this tank? 10? 15 years? And only 30 pieces! It's also a story with the SU-57!

@@lyric-992have you seen the Abram’s X its actually everything the T-14 claims to be and more. it even has a silent mode that allows it to operate and drive for up to like 30Km on electricity only. Its also produced in about just as much non useful numbers as well.

It would be more interesting to see the KF 51 Panther against the T-14

Anyone ever notice that we've never seen a T-14 with its turret traversed over the sponsons and we've never seen it shoot at more than a few hundred yards? It makes me wonder if the turret traverse mechanisms are hooked up and if there is an FCS. It kinda makes me think its an experimental turret just sitting on a hull.

Возможно, там другой алгоритм ее включения / отключения. И, возможно этим управляет СУО. На сколько я понимаю держать стабилизацию все время включенной - дорогое удовольствие....

@@dgolovaSH так то да, но для рекламного ролика обычно её включают, чтобы показать как она отрабатывает ухабы. А тут нет, и даже перед выстрелом на ходу не заметна работа стаба. Хотя, если присмотреться, то вроде как есть, но после выстрела сразу отключается, а монтажёр так нарезал кадры, что оставил лишь доли секунды перед выстрелом.

@@mz4637 There is no need to produce many of T-14. Current upgrades (more armor, engine power and fire control) to T-72 and T-80 is enough. T-14 is meant as a special reserve to enforce stability in battlefield where and when required. It is cheaper to take older units from storage and upgrade them. In Russia we need to spend resources on our new photolithography machines based on X-Ray to manufacture our own microprocessors etc. If producing T-14 in larger numbers becomes vital, it will be arranged.
