System of a Down | Fourteen Year-Old Reaction | BYOB
Музыка
Annie and I check out, discuss, and react to BYOB from System of a Down. To me, a crazy killer song that shifts gears and really drives home a message about politicians and war.
Follow me on Instagram if you like, lots of family pics and funny stuff. We keep it pretty light.

If she liked the slower parts, show her 'lonely day' that one has been giving me goosebumps for 15 years now. And it is a good song to get into SOAD
I remember hearing about how kids in the middle east cherish cloudy days which are very rare and how it's the most free time they get to play outside. At first I figured it was to do with the shade but then one of the kids is quoted as saying it's the only time their parents feel safe enough to let them out because the bad things (drones) in the sky can't see them. Kind of put's this song onto another level blowing up the sunshine etc. It's really sad that any kid in this world would have to live in that reality.
She'll understand one day dad!
I've binge watched 10 of your videos straight starting with the Queen - Live Aid video. This is so entertaining watching your kids react to these different genres of great music. Keep up the good work!
Your daughter is lovely. Her straight faced reactions remind me of myself trying to introduce music to the kids. My inside voice always repeats "WHY ARE YOU NOT SUPER JACKED ABOUT THIS MAJORLY KILLER SONG?"
Great Video!! I was lucky enough to see System live in 2018!!!
Only if she new it was one of the most famous band in the early 2000
Her face says: Dad trying to force his beliefs through song on me again... -.-
Thanks for reacting to my favorite band of all time!!
I love SOAD! favorite band since middle school. All of the band members do a great job of displaying the point they want to get across. There's a ton of SOAD that can be reacted to. Even if you aren't into politics (i'm not) the music rocks. More SOAD please :P
I think she would enjoy "Lonely Day".
This is probably the coolest dad I’ve ever seen on KZread, she should feel lucky 🥺
Definitely more SOAD. They have softer songs that won’t spook new listeners

Love this song! Crazy song but great idea behind it! Love her facial expressions during this song. 😂 You really need to do more system of a down with her. :) Frank Turner - The Road!!!! 😁
« No, I can’t understand him » 😂 Look girl, I was maybe 2 years older than you are right now, English isn’t even my first language, but I still understood most of the lyrics on first listen... just pay attention hahaha

Still love this song. I remember watching SNL just to catch SOAD as their guest band and Daron dropping the F-bomb on live TV. He wasn't subtle in it either... soooo good
Yup! Your daughter will definitely like Aerials more.
System of a Down - Chop Suey is my favourite song from them but the voices and the music from there other songs are still awesome
Annie's facial expressions are almost as entertaining to watch as the video.

SOAD are so unique there is just nothing like them out there, love the band! I guess its not for young girls but maybe it will grow on her :D her face was priceless xD
My daughter loves System of a Down, they are one of her favorite bands and she is almost 13.
I just caught a glimpse of my life 20 years from now. Looking at my child's face every now and then, during the chaotic parts and laughing my ass off.
Annie's face...... this is part of the reason why this channel is always a good choice. Hilarious!
Ahh takes me back absolutely love this song
I was about her age when I heard this song for the first time and fell in love. Love me some SOAD!
Finaly some old SOAD stuff!
I think the song that would probably appeal most to Annie from SOAD would by Hypnotize -- also one of my favorite songs from them and one that definitely got me to check out more of SOAD's discography (that and the song Chop Suey).
OMG! I love BYOB! Finally!!! EDIT: Hold on! I just noticed that the song is "bipped" for real in the phrase "Where the F-word are you"???? I'm in Italy and it's not cutted off!
It's always weird and entertaining watching people currently in middle school reacting to things that came out when I was in middle school xD
Great way start learning. Keep it up Dad! And a great song to choose from. The past can't be forgotten.
Lol this song reminds me of high school that's when it came out for me. We'd have bonfires and this song played ALOT. You should definitely play Fortunate Son for her I want to see that. Great song

remember going to a SOAD concert making sure to stand in safe distance from the stage. Show starts, first song prison song, 20 seconds in and I understand I am still at least 10 rows too close to the stage, felt like one of those great battles in Lord of the rings
SOAD is one of my absolute favourite bands ever. Would love to see you guys react to Aerials, Hypnotyze, Lonely Day, or even Chop Suey. I think Annie would like these better.
thanks i wanted to see this
Dad, doing absolutely right by his child getting her some info on bands she might not have ever heard of if not for him. Good job Dad!
There was a length of time on my radio station, where they played this without edits. There is a Disturbed song that is still un-edited (possibly due to most people being unable to make it out). I forgot that a lot of music video channels (official) edit their videos for KZread.

The look on Annie's face at around 9 minutes was priceless. It took me a few listens to get into this song, maybe she might sometime in the future. Chop Suey would probably have been a bit better.
Coo-coo clock went off just at the right time. Almost perfectly...
You have to watch from 6:54 and watch Annies face just go WTF is happening till about 7:06 lol. Do lots more SOAD they are just bloody great! Amazing when I was younger and they just came out of no where blowing every ones minds to pieces!!!
Great!! I recommend you to react to "Dust" by "Tremonti" with her. Very emotional. I think she could love that song and band in general.
Forest, for me, is one of their best songs, I hope you react to that lml
Hello doggie under or behind the table ! :) The Royal Airforce pilots had a nice nick name for the nuclear bomb, "A Bucket Of Instant Sunshine". Why they always send the poor... interestingly the CCR song "Fortunate Son" is also right about that as well.
As many times as I’ve heard this song I believe that the first time I’ve seen the video.
I love this song so much. It comes from the heart of them. Some of the band or they familie comes from the middel east.
Oh damn she was looking away for the first "why do they always send the poor" at the beginning...daron's face is intense for it.

Think This Was Funny As Hell Especially Since She's Not Into This. Same Way With Metallica. Another Favorite Band Of Mine. When It Comes To S.O.A.D. Have Her Listen To Questions Since She's Into The Slower Stuff. Anyways I Know Y'all Are Having Fun Doing This. Like Your Taste In Music, And Rock On 😎🤘
This is the song that got me listening to System of a Down.
Anybody else see warning bells going off in her head when he described the lead singer's voice as 'unique'?
I was younger than this girl when this song came out woah
Maybe Lonely Day would be a good one if she liked the softer parts. But Aerials is for sure the best option to capture there style and not be overwhelming with the manic energy a lot of there songs have. Love SOAD, been listening to them since the first time Sugar was premiered on MTV, you know back when they played music.
Great video
Try Lost In Hollywood :) Its much slower and still has a great meaning behind it
I didn’t like SOAD when they first came out, but soon came to absolutely love them.

Welcome home Annie. haha
Is that an ice cream truck in the background when the cookoo clock goes off?
I almost wish I didn't listen to these songs around my kid while he was growing up so I could do this with him... But alas, all music was/is played in my house
"for a certain generation" when are you 50? love it! Every generation is my generation to!
Man, my daughter also reacts to the system of a down.😁 And I get the same pleasure from their music as you)👍 Greetings from Ukraine!💛💙🔥🤘🔥
The lead singer now lives here in New Zealand. :)
- It's OK man. I think you have to give her time. It is admirable that she has such a close father to so much music, but at the same time I also believe that she is part of an identity process in her personality. The generations of this century adapted to musical genres of the popular industry, very different from those that we are used to, as it was with the previous generations and successively. When she redefines herself and discovers herself over time, perhaps she will return to all this music that she had the opportunity to enjoy (or not) with her father. Saludos / greetings! .
I love BYOB but Annie's face at 6:55, the sudden change of expression, made me laugh so hard.
Music with a message

I like how you're struggling to get Annie to the song, but she doesn't, seem to care at all. Both your reactions are unique and real, that's why I like yours. Most out there are wowing in every song they react. This can't be real. Keep it up.
