Wonderful. High quality sounds as usual from Substan, you can tell a lot time and effort has been put into these. Now I wish I had a Syntakt! These would be an instant buy.

Purchased and considering a 2nd Syntakt (as not a user of a DAW) Many of these patches sound like they’re coming from an entirely different machine.

Exellent , how is the FX shared .? is it saved with the preset ? (don't have my syntakt yet) also is the Velocity a mod source in the Filter section ? (i see you play on a keyboard) Thks , superb work

Thanks !! Only the send level is saved with the presets. The Fx settings are saved with the project. Yes ... you can use Velocity, Aftertouch, Modwheel & breath control as a mod source (for 4 different destinations each)

I am a electro guitar and trumpet player. I am not a synth guy but looking for a solution to use in a live setting. The genres I like are ambient, psybient, downbeat, chillout and psytrance. I have been looking into the capabilities of Elektron's Digitone, Digitakt, and Syntakt. I need repetitive sequenced sounds (pads, glitches, noises, sounds from the nature, piano, analog sounds) programmed in multiple layers. Which Elektron do you think fits the best in a live setting?

It's really extremely difficult (almost impossible) to say what suits you best. In general, all Elektrons are equally (very well) suitable for playing live. The sequencer is the same on all three. But of course everyone has their advantages and strengths. Syntakt is versatile and particularly suitable for drums... also synth sounds if you are happy with mono tracks and don't want to do "deep" sound synthesis. Digitone offers much deeper possibilities in this regard, is polyphonic and is the only one of the three to have an Arp. But it “only” has 4 tracks. Even though you can cover a very wide range of sounds with FM synthesis, the Digitone has its very own sound (which I love)... You can of course also make drums with it, but in this respect the Syntakt is much more versatile. The Digitakt even more so because you can use any sample.

Hey, just thinking, does this sound pack have a series of stereo samples in it, that I can access, and then potentially upload into my Deluge, etc. (i.e. are they stereo .wav or similar, which I can listen to individually, or are they in some sort of alternate format, just for the Elektron Syntakt?)

Hey, it’s a bunch of presets in a format that is only readable by the Syntakt. There are no .wav files (I bought a copy of this sound pack - highly recommend if you own a Syntakt 👌)

There is a high-pitched noise in one L channel, can hear it through many presets. 11:51 Example like a dimmed cricket ~16kHz

It probably comes from the fact that I also recorded the sound via OBS and was therefore double-compressed. Not optimal but I think the essence comes across. I have problems hearing crickets at all (tinitus / hearing loss due to loud clubs) so I didn't notice anything ... sorry if it's too annoying.

@@substan_music Thanks for the reply. I also found recently, I hear fewer highs with the right ear. Just the cricket on the street started making a sound much higher than usual ~8kHz, Wow ~16kHz, I recorded it with Zoom and tested its frequency with a mobile app. Rare cricket =)
