However, in the 90's, some were saying the same thing about 30 years BEFORE '93 while looking at their current time (the beautiful 90's), and rolling their eyes, comparing how things have gotten worse and aren't the same. 30 years from now, people will be nostalgic about now. See the beauty, and be in the present moment too

The arc of music, culture and technology begun in the 1950s all peaked in the 1990s. Every generation prob says the same thing about their period, but the 90s were vibrant and genuine. The air even felt different.

The greatest films, television shows, sports teams and moments, creation of PCs and cell phones, and the greatest music and music technology happened in this 20 year period. It was when technology, creativity, and knowledge of the past arts collided for amazing entertainment. Also a great economy for the USA. And 93 was actually special as many great artists released some of their last great albums. Good year for music. 🚨 But in the end all these things are fleeting. Just temporary distractions from that which is most important. Truth. We have all fallen short of righteousness and have sinned. The only way to be reconciled to The Father is through His Son Jesus. All these entertainment industries that we loved in the 80s and 90s were orchestrated and controlled by Satan. And 90% of the celebrity names from this time sold their souls and were used as puppets to take our eyes, minds, and hearts away from the One who can truly save us. Jesus. I've never owned a cell phone.

I was 17 in 1990, so basically an adult from the beginning of the decade. It was a good time, but this music to me is far closer to mid to late 80s. If you want early 90s, you need to build some kind of grunge ambience mix. We gotta get into Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Chili Peppers, etc... that's where music was at for sure in '93.

I mean, they were still playing music from the mid to late 80's in the early 90s. It's really only a few years difference, so I can absolutely understand why a child would have memories of listening to the late 80's records/tapes their parents had around that time period.

The 90s to me still had an 80s element to it culture wise, especially when it came to electronics and video games especially. Early 90's especially still had an 80's vibe going on. Hair metal bands were still relatively popular through 94 as well.

The 1990's were the last greatest decade this world will ever see. It encompassed some of the most important and memorable years of my life. I will never forget them, and the people that accompanied me along the journey in those spectacular years. What a time to be ALIVE!!

91' and I feel that so much.. This feeling stays forever, but god how I wish turn back time when everything was much easier, yh.

I was 11 in 1993 and living in Penscola, Florida. Countless hours spent on mine, and friends SNES's and biking through the neighborhood in the warm sun of '93... It was fun. And Wal*Marts BEFORE the monstrosities they've become now. Back "in my day" they were called "Super Wal*Mart's" and were far and few between. Wal*Mart, Target and K-Mart! Looking through the toy isles and finding either a figure from Street Fighter or the latest SNES game! Such memories I miss!

This music is so good, and the aesthetic is perfect. My favorite visual stimulus is driving at night and just taking in a stretch of those peach-orange interstate lights with the soft glow coming off of them. Just the most peaceful sight to me, that feeling of going somewhere and moving and having those lights on your way.

90 here. grew up in 90/2000....very unreal experience if you ask me. But, weird how we all connect through the shared experience, oftentimes alone, called nostalgia, and I feel like our generation lost a lot. My childhood won't ever be as fun and full of time, whereas my adulthood is almost the same thing, living the life I want while remembering(and holding onto) and cherishing the past moments/items. It is a great balance of being alive/feeling like it's all a dream. -Fonze

93 baby here. October ❤ Synthwave is very much an 80s thing but something about the 90s makes me think of synthwave as well. It probably stems from my love for video games from the Nes/Snes/genesis/n64/ps1. Technology from the 90s in general just has such a nostalgic feel in general, and synthwave matches that feeling. I know the nes and genesis were released in the 80s, but everybody was still playing those 2 systems throughout the 90s.
