Synergy: Episode Two - Strider Battle -

Presenting the world's first Synergy segmented speedrun of Strider Battle in the time of 7:29 by qv2b and jorikgrozniy, done in 47 segments with default settings and difficulty set to Easy.
The run was started on June 18th, 2022, and completed on June 26th, 2022, the render was done in 6 days by jorik.

Over a few days we were able to adjust the game for segmenting. It was very difficult to segment, in addition, it was impossible to calculate the final time perfectly to the milliseconds, so we prioritized the beauty of the run. We also encountered some problems in rendering that turned out to be impossible to fix (except for sounds). For some reason, every time we saved a segment, the objects fell out of our hands (as you can see in the video), so we tried to put them on the ground before saving the segment. The teleportation of the player to the base, which you can see at the very end of the video, is a default feature in Synergy.
The run was performed on Synergy v20.1 using _Smiley's ABH mod: drive.google.com/file/d/1scCR...

ngl, the devs behind Synergy should really make ABH implementation a reality in the game outside of a fanmade mod.

its exists in original synergy, but only with maxplayers set to 1

That mod I did is HEX-patched dlls to ignoring (maxplayers > 1) condition which is prevents ABH movement, 99.9% other functionally is still same the original from Synergy. There a full similar check in original HL2 code as well: github.com/ValveSoftware/source-sdk-2013/blob/master/mp/src/game/shared/gamemovement.cpp#L2469 (u just didn't notices it cuz of running on full local server.) TLDR: For devs enough to replace that check with some new created cvar, literally ~2 lines of changes lmao.
